Porvorim | AAP Goa President Valmiki Naik today called for the resignation of PWD Minister Digambar Kamat, stating that the deaths and accidents caused on the new Porvorim flyover are directly his fault. The statement comes after a fresh accident took place in the early hours of today. Valmiki stated that the fault for such accidents lie clearly with Digambar Kamat, Pramod Sawant and Rohan Khaunte.
Valmiki stated that real reason this flyover was inaugurated without any preparedness is because the BJP only understands two things, corruption & election. He added that an activist has shared that 40% of the light poles of this flyover are less. He said the BJP should make public the amount of corruption behind this flyover.
Valmiki stated that the reason behind the rush to inaugrate this flyover was the proximity of the elections. He said that the BJP was so greedy for postive PR that they didn’t study or engineer the project properly and that has proved fatal to Goans.
He further demanded that Digambar Kamat come public with as to why a Management College like IIM Nagpur has been called to study what is actually an engineering problem. He said Goans will refuse to accept any attempt to hide behind IIM Nagpur when the mistake of Digambar Kamat, Pramod Sawant and Rohan Khaunte.
AAP Vice President Manuel Cardozo slammed the BJP for having meetings to solve the very problems they have created on the Porvorim flyover and asked why such meetings and plans could not be made before Goans lost their lives.
The AAP leaders stated that is was unfortunate that Goans are paying the price for BJP’s corruption and greedy.
