NEW DELHI / GOA | Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Monday visited the Shri Damodar Temple in Vasco, Goa, on the auspicious occasion of Shri Damodar Bhajani Saptah (week-long devotional singing and prayers) and sought the blessings of Bhagwan Shri Damodar. He prayed for the progress, health and well-being of the people of Goa, recalling that Bhagwan Damodar protected Goa 125 years ago. AAP Goa in-charge Atishi and senior leaders of the Goa unit were also present on the occasion.
AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said, “We sought the blessings of Bhagwan Shri Damodar at the temple and prayed that just as he protected Goa 125 years ago, he continues to protect Goa today. There is a great deal of corruption in Goa, and people are deeply unhappy and troubled.”
“We have come to seek blessings for the people of Goa. The Bhajani Saptah is currently underway, and a large number of devotees visit Shri Damodar Temple during this period. I pray that everyone’s wishes are fulfilled,” he added.
Responding to a question on the E20 issue, the AAP Chief stated, “We have received a very strong response from people on E20. Thousands of people have sent us messages on WhatsApp and shared their comments. There will be a townhall on E20 at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, and everyone, including the media, is invited. At the townhall, people will share how they are being affected by E20.”
Meanwhile, senior AAP leader and Goa in-charge Atishi stated that on the auspicious occasion of Shri Damodar Bhajani Saptah, Arvind Kejriwal, along with AAP Goa leaders, offered prayers at the historic Shri Damodar Temple in Vasco. She sought the blessings of Bhagwan Shri Damodar for the happiness, peace and prosperity of Goa and all its people.
