On the occasion of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ (consecration ceremony) of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya, Delhi also became immersed in the spirit of Ram. On this auspicious occasion, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) organized various events in Delhi, including Sundarkand recitation, ‘Bhandaras’ (feasts), ‘Shobha Yatras’ (processions), and Aarti (prayer). AAP’s National Convenor and Delhi’s CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, participated in several programs in his Assembly constituency of New Delhi, offering prayers for the well-being, peace, prosperity, and development of the Delhiites. During this time, CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal also enshrined Ram Lalla’s idol at Albert Square on RK Ashram Marg. Along with the Cabinet ministers of the Kejriwal government, MLAs, and councillors also participated in various programs.

CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal extended his heartfelt congratulations to all citizens, including those in Delhi, on the consecration of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. The AAP National Convenor mentioned participating in ‘Bhandaras’ organized in different parts of Delhi on the occasion of the Pran Pratishtha. The Delhi CM said that due to extensive VIP security in Ayodhya, they couldn’t visit, but they expressed devotion to Lord Shri Ram in their ways.

CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal first arrived at the Udayan Marg under the New Delhi Assembly constituency. Here, he participated in the ongoing program of ‘Ramayana’ recitation and kirtan. Afterwards, he took Prasad from the ‘Bhandara’ and reached Panchkuian Road near the R.K. Ashram Marg Metro Station. Here, CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal joined the Sundarkand recitation program organized by the ‘Pracheen Sannyas Ashram Shiv Hanuman Mandir Trust’ and accepted Prasad after listening to the Sundarkand recitation. Around noon, the CM arrived at Block C on Ashram Marg, where he inaugurated the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla and accepted the prasad from the Bhandara.

During this, AAP’s National Convenor and Delhi’s CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal stated, “Congratulations to all ‘Ram Bhakts’ and everyone, on the occasion of Ram Lalla’s Pran Pratishtha. I’m so glad that Ram Lalla’s idol has been consecrated. Last week, we conducted Sundarkand recitations at many places in Delhi. I recited Sundarkand along with my wife at a Rohin temple. From now onwards, we will organize Sundarakand recitals on the first Tuesday of every month.”

“Due to the high VVIP movement in today’s Pran Pratishtha ceremony, many of us couldn’t go there and we are worshipping ‘Ram Lalla’ in our own ways. The Delhi Government is organizing a grand Ramlila near ITO Chowk, in Pearey Lal Auditorium. Yesterday, I personally saw Ramlila’s rendition there. It’s been ongoing for the last three days,” CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal added.

CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal shared “The Delhi Government takes elderly people aged 60 and above on pilgrimage to various holy sites such as Shirdi Maharaj, Shri Dwarkadhish, Rameswaram, Jagannath Puri, Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Ayodhya Ji etc. Under this scheme, 12 such holy sites have been selected and each week a train departs on pilgrimage, taking nearly a thousand pilgrims. So far 86 such trains carrying more than 82,000 pilgrims have concluded their journey.”

The Delhi Chief Minister mentioned that every expense, be it travel in AC coaches of bus/train, AC accommodation, and food is borne by the Delhi Government. He said a young individual can accompany the elderly as their attendant, so if two parents are going on the journey then they can take two more young individuals with them. Sri Rameswaram and Jagannath Puri are very far from here in terms of distance, so it’s difficult to travel on one’s own. Under this scheme it’s convenient, he added.
