New Delhi, April 15 ;

Putting an end to the speculation of resignation of Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, AAP’s National General Secretary (Organization) Dr Sandeep Pathak on Monday made it clear that the government will continue to run from jail as from next week onwards, the CM will call two ministers each in jail every week and review the progress of work in their departments.

After meeting Shri Arvind Kejriwal in jail along with Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann today, Dr Sandeep Pathak told media persons that the Delhi CM will see if the work in various department is going on and issue work related guidelines to the ministers.

Dr Sandeep Pathak said whatever legal process there is regarding meeting with ministers, the work will be done only as per that. He said that even in jail, Delhi’s son Shri Arvind Kejriwal is not worried about himself but is worried about the public. When we asked about his condition, he said, don’t worry about me, I am ready for struggle.

Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha Member, Dr. Sandeep Pathak, along with Punjab’s Chief Minister Shri Bhagwant Mann had a 30-minutes long meeting with AAP’s National Convenor and Delhi’s Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal in jail today. Dr. Sandeep Pathak stated how the Chief Minister is only concerned about the public even when he is in jail. The Chief Minister was just worried about the public and wanted to ensure that all the benefits and developments that he has done should still be available to the public. The CM directed the MLAs and ministers to double up their efforts in serving the public now that he is in jail. The public should not suffer, no matter how many atrocities we have to face.

Sharing the details of the meeting, Dr. Sandeep Pathak stated how on meeting CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab CM Shri Bhagwant Mann could not control his tears. He stated how he was solely concerned about the public and if they were still getting all the services like free water and electricity, good schools, hospitals, and Mohalla clinics. The CM was not one bit concerned about his own condition but all he wanted to know was if the people were getting all the facilities.

“Today, I, along with Shri Bhagwant Mann went to meet our CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal. We were given 30 minutes to meet him and in the first few minutes, Shri Bhagwant Mann became so emotional that he couldn’t hold back his tears, he was unable to say a word.”

Dr. Sandeep Pathak, repeating the conversation, said that the CM was not concerned about his own health. The senior AAP minister stated that when we asked him about his health and if he was doing fine, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “Do not worry about me, I’m ready for the struggle. You tell me if the public is doing fine, what are the people saying? Are they still getting free electricity? Is there any hurdle in that? If they are facing power cuts? Tell me if the schools are functioning properly? Tell me if the hospitals and Mohalla clinics are functioning properly? Are they getting free medicines or not?” He kept asking us these things until he was satisfied that the public was not suffering. He was relieved only when he was satisfied that everything is going well. We told him that everything is going well. On this, he told me three things that he’ll be doing in the coming days.

Conveying the CM’s plan of action for reviewing the functioning of various departments in the coming days, Dr. Sandeep Pathak stated, “From next week onwards, the CM will call two ministers to jail every week, there he will review their departments, and give them guidelines and directions. Simultaneously, he asked me to convey this message to all the MLAs to go door to door in their areas and meet public to understand their concerns. The MLAs should try and solve any issues that the people are facing. He said that the MLAs will have to cover up his absence by working twice as hard as before,” he said.

“He said one more thing. The scheme of giving Rs 1000 to women every month, which was a major announcement in the budget, has been passed. Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that nobody needs to worry about it. He will implement the scheme as soon as he comes out of jail,” Dr. Sandeep Pathak stated.

The Rajya Sabha member stated how the Chief Minister just had one question on his mind throughout the meeting. He said, “Throughout the meeting, Shri Arvind Kejriwal was not worried, there was only one question that was bothering him. That the development he has done in all these years, including free electricity and water supply, top-notch schools, hospitals, and Mohalla clinics, does not go in vain. These facilities should not be stopped in any case. That was his only concern throughout the meeting,” he concluded.

Morale and enthusiasm of AAP workers has increased: Dr Sandeep Pathak

Dr. Sandeep Pathak said that the Aam Aadmi Party is running at full speed. Election campaigns are going on in all the states. All the people in the party have become even more motivated. People who used to work for 10 hours are now working for 15 hours. Those who worked for 15 hours are now working for 18 hours. Most of the people of our party are emotionally attached to Shri Arvind Kejriwal and this feeling is encouraging them to do more work.

We have full respect for judiciary, whatever decision is taken, we will duly accept it: Dr. Sandeep Pathak

Dr. Sandeep Pathak said that the common man fully respects the judiciary. Today, not only us, but the entire country is also watching the entire process of the judiciary with folded hands and with great curiosity. Even the person who had nothing to do with law before today is picking up law books and reading them. We have full faith in the judiciary and hope that Arvind Kejriwal will get bail soon. Because in the end, truth prevails. There is a complete process of law, and everyone has to go through it. In such a situation, whatever decision will be taken by the judiciary, we will accept unanimously.
