दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल द्वारा कोरोना संक्रमण की रोकथाम में किए गए गंभीर व व्यक्तिगत प्रयास पूरी तरह रंग ला रहे हैं। इसी का नतीजा है कि दिल्ली की स्थिति देश के मुकाबले काफी बेहतर है और दिल्ली मॉडल की चर्चा देश भर में हो रही है। वर्तमान में दिल्ली कें कोरोना केस के दोगुने होने की रफ्तार बढ़ कर 101.5 दिन हो गई है, जबकि पूरे देश में अभी यह रफ्तार 28.8 दिन है। यही नहीं, मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल के कोरोना से हो रहे मौत के आंकड़ों को शून्य पर लाने के लिए किए जा रहे प्रयास के कारण दिल्ली में कोरोना से मृत्युदर में भी काफी सुधार हुआ है। वर्तमान में अगस्त के महीने में दिल्ली में मृत्युदर 1.4 प्रतिशत है, जबकि पूरे देश में यह दर 1.92 प्रतिशत है। दिल्ली डिजाॅस्टर मैनेजमेंट अथाॅरिटी (डीडीएमए) की बुधवार को हुई बैठक में दिल्ली सरकार के स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने कोरोना के संबंध में ताजे आंकड़े प्रस्तुत किए। यह आंकड़े न सिर्फ दिल्ली माँडल को मजबूती प्रदान कर रहे बल्कि दिल्ली के निवासियों को राहत प्रदान करने वाले है।
दिल्ली में कोविड-19 महामारी की रोकथाम को लेकर मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल स्वयं गंभीर हैं और वह खुद पूरे मामले पर बेहद बारिकी के साथ नजर रख रहे हैं। कोविड की रोकथाम को लेकर सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने समय-समय पर स्वास्थ्य विभाग समेत अन्य संबंधित विभागों को आवश्यक और जरूरी कदम उठाने के निर्देश देते रहे हैं। इसी का परिणाम है कि जून में जहां कोविड को लेकर दिल्ली में अफरा-तफरी का महौल था, वहीं आज स्थिति में बहुत ज्यादा सुधार दिखाई दे रहा है। इस संबंध में बुधवार को डीडीएमए की बैठक हुई थी। बैठक में दिल्ली में कोरोना की वर्तमान स्थिति की समीक्षा की गई। इस दौरान दिल्ली सरकार के स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने कोरोना संबंधित एक विस्तृत रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत की।
इस रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, दिल्ली में कोविड-19 के केस दोगुना होने की रफ्तार देश के अन्य राज्यों की अपेक्षा सबसे अधिक है। दिल्ली में अगस्त महीने में करीब 101.5 दिन में कोविड के केस दोगुने होते पाए गए हैं, जबकि पूरे देश में 28.8 दिन में ही केस के दोगुना हो रहे हैं। रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, दिल्ली में केस डबल होने की अवधि बढ़ने के साथ ही मृत्युदर में भी काफी हद तक सुधार आया है। इस महीने में दिल्ली में मृत्युदर 1.4 प्रतिशत रहा है, जबकि पूरे देश में मृत्युदर करीब 1.92 दिन है। वहीं 18 जून को दिल्ली की टेस्ट पॉजिटिविटी रेट जो 24.59% थी, वह 18 अगस्त को गिरकर 5.25% हो गई है। यह गिरावट आरटीपीसीआर और रैपिड टेस्ट दोनो की पॉजिटिविटी रेट में दिख रही है। 18 जून को दिल्ली में 9088 आरटीपीसीआर टेस्ट हुए थे जिनमे 2805 पॉजिटिव केस निकले थे, यानी पोस्टिविटी रेट 30.85% निकली थी। वहीं 18 अगस्त को 4106 आरटीपीसीआर टेस्ट हुए थे जिनमे 434 पॉजिटिव केस निकले थे, यानी पोस्टिविटी रेट 10.57% थी। इसी प्रकार 18 जून को दिल्ली में 3316 रैपिड टेस्ट हुए थे जिनमे 246 पॉजिटिव केस निकले, यानी पोस्टिविटी रेट 7.42% निकली थी। वहीं 18 अगस्त को 10882 रैपिड टेस्ट हुए थे जिनमे 353 पॉजिटिव केस निकले थे, यानी पोस्टिविटी रेट केवल 3.24% थी।
ताजा रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, 20 जून 2020 को दिल्ली सहित पूरे भारत में मरीजों के स्वस्थ्य होने की दर करीब 55.2 प्रतिशत थी। लेकिन तब से अब तक दिल्ली में कोरोना से हालात लगातार सुधर रहे हैं और पूरे देश की तुलना में दिल्ली में मरीजों के स्वस्थ्य होने की दर लगातार बढ़ती जा रही है। वर्तमान में पूरे देश में मरीजों के स्वस्थ्य होने की दर 72.5 प्रतिशत है, जबकि दिल्ली में स्वस्थ्य होने की दर बढ़ कर 90.2 प्रतिशत हो गई है। इसी तरह, एक जुलाई 2020 को दिल्ली में कोविड केस के दोगुना होने की दर करीब 20 दिनों तक पूरे देश की दर के लगभग बराबर थी। लेकिन उसके बाद से दिल्ली में केस डबल होने की दर लगातार बढ़ती जा रही है। 17 जुलाई को दिल्ली में 58 दिनों में कोविड केस के दोगुने हो रहे थे। इसी तरह, एक अगस्त 2020 को 90 दिन में केस डबल होते पाए गए और वर्तमान में 101.5 दिन में दोगुने हो रहे हैं। वहीं, इसकी तुलना में पूरे भारत में एक जुलाई 2020 को कोविड केस के दोगुना होने की दर 20 और 27 दिन के बीच रही है।

The efforts made by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to deal with the Covid situation in Delhi are showing successful results. Delhi’s position is much better than the rest of the country. At present, the doubling rate of Corona in Delhi has gone up to 101.5 days, as compared to the rest of the country which stands at 28.8 days. Moreover, the mortality rate in Delhi has also considerably decreased due to the multiple efforts being made by CM Arvind Kejriwal to bring the death figures to zero. For the month of August, the mortality rate in Delhi is 1.4 percent, while the country has a mortality rate of 1.92 percent. In a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) held on Wednesday, the Health Department of the Delhi government presented fresh data regarding the situation of Corona in Delhi. The figures are not only strengthening the case for Delhi Model’s success in defeating Corona but also bring relief to the residents of Delhi.
CM Arvind Kejriwal is closely monitoring the evolving situation of the COVID pandemic in Delhi. To prevent new cases and to reduce deaths due of COVID, CM Arvind Kejriwal has been directing all concerned departments, including the health department, from time to time to take necessary steps. This is the result that in June, where there was a panic in Delhi over COVID, the situation is showing a lot of improvement today. The DDMA meeting was held on Wednesday in this regard to review the present status of Corona in Delhi. The health department of the Delhi government submitted a detailed report in the meeting.
On July 1, the doubling rate of Corona cases in Delhi was the same as with the rest of India at 20 days. Since then, the doubling rate of Delhi has been steadily rising. It was 58 days on July 17, around 90 days on August 1, and has currently increased to 101.5 days. In comparison, for the rest of India, the doubling rate has remained between 20 and 27 days since July 1.
The case fatality rate in Delhi for the month of August has improved substantially to 1.4% whereas, for the rest of India, the case fatality rate is 1.92%. While reiterating that the situation of Corona is improving in Delhi, CM Arvind Kejriwal has maintained that the main aim of the authorities and the Delhi government is to save as many lives as possible. For this, many improvements have been made inside the hospitals such as ramping up the infrastructure, increasing ICU beds and wards, and supplying oxygen concentrators to patients recovering in hospitals as well as home isolation.
On June 20, the recovery rate of Delhi and the rest of India was similar at 55.2%. Since then, the recovery rate of Delhi has been consistently higher than the rest of India. Today, the recovery rate in Delhi is 90.2% as compared to 72.5% recovery rate for the rest of India. Out of a total of 157354 cases in Delhi, 141826 cases have recovered, which shows a significant improvement in the Corona situation in Delhi.
The success of Delhi Model is also seen in the sharp decrease in test positivity rate over last two months. On 18 June, the test positivity rate in Delhi was 24.59%, which reduced substantially to 5.25% on 16 August. More importantly, the positivity rate has dropped for both RT-PCR tests and Rapid Antigen Tests. On 18 June, 9088 RT-PCR tests were conducted of which 2804 positives emerged – a positivity rate of 30.85%. In comparison, on 16 August, 4106 RT-PCR tests were conducted of which 434 positives emerged – a positivity rate of 10.57%. Similarly, on 18 June, 3316 Rapid tests were conducted in Delhi of which 247 positives emerged – a positivity rate of 7.42%. In comparison, on 16 August, 10,882 Rapid tests were conducted in Delhi of which 353 positives emerged – a positivity rate of 3.24%
