NEW DELHI:

“I might be in jail, but people of Delhi shouldn’t be inconvenienced…,” affirmed his fervent commitment towards Delhiites, Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal while issuing the first order from ED custody to the Water Minister Atishi.

Amidst his confinement, Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal staunchly prioritizes the welfare of Delhiites. Asserting his unwavering dedication, Shri Arvind Kejriwal issues a pivotal order from ED custody, directing Water Minister Atishi to tackle the capital’s pressing sewer and water challenges promptly.

Emphasizing citizens’ well-being, the CM has mandated stringent measures, seeking the Water Minister to issue strict directions to the Chief Secretary and DJB officials of the Water Department to prevent public inconvenience during the upcoming summer months.

CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, while issuing orders to Water Minister Atishi from ED custody, said, “I have come to know that there are significant water and sewer problems in some areas of Delhi. I might be in jail, but people of Delhi shouldn’t be inconvenienced; make adequate arrangements for water tankers so that there is no shortage during summers. Give appropriate instructions to the Chief Secretary and DJB officials so that the public does not face any kind of inconvenience during summers. Immediate and proper resolution of public problems should be ensured. If necessary, seek the cooperation of the Lieutenant Governor as well. He will surely assist you.”

Sharing about the orders sent by the Chief Minister from ED custody, Water Minister Atishi said, “Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has sent me orders as the Water Minister from ED custody.”

She said that when these instructions came to her from the Chief Minister yesterday, she had tears in her eyes. “I thought, who else than CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal would be so concerned about Delhi people, in such dire circumstances, when he has been arrested, detained, and does not know when he will be released from jail. Without thinking about his own troubles, he is thinking about the water and sewer-related problems of the people of Delhi,” she said.

She said that only Shri Arvind Kejriwal could be such a person because Arvind Kejriwal does not consider himself just the Chief Minister of Delhi but considers the 2 crore people of Delhi as his family. For the last 9 years, Shri Arvind Kejriwal has conducted the Delhi government like his own family; he has taken care of Delhiites like a son, a brother, and a family member.

Water Minister Atishi said that for CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, the people of Delhi are not just voters, he is not just a Chief Minister for the people of Delhi. Shri Arvind Kejriwal considers the people of Delhi as members of his own family. And this is the reason that even in such difficult circumstances, he is thinking for every Delhiite.

She said, “I want to tell the BJP that you can arrest Shri Arvind Kejriwal, you can put him in jail, but you cannot imprison the love and responsibility he has for the people of Delhi. You cannot confine his dedication towards the people of Delhi.”

Water Minister Atishi added that even after being arrested, Shri Arvind Kejriwal is only thinking about the people of Delhi, about their work. And today, on behalf of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, I assure all Delhiites that Delhi’s CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal is still monitoring the entire administration of Delhi.

“The Bharatiya Janata Party-led central government has arrested the popular Chief Minister of Delhi, Shri Arvind Kejriwal; But today, on behalf of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, I want to assure all Delhiites that, even though Shri Arvind Kejriwal has been arrested, even though he is currently in the custody of the central government’s Enforcement Directorate, the work of Delhiites will not stop. The work of Delhiites will continue uninterrupted,” Atishi concluded.
