NEW DELHI | In the Rajasthan municipal elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has emerged as a major force, sweeping aside the electoral ambitions of both the BJP and Congress. The results announced on Monday saw AAP emerge as the largest party in the home area of Rajasthan’s Education Minister, prompting National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal to congratulate the party’s office-bearers and workers on the performance.
AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal took to ‘X’ and stated, “The winds of change have now started blowing in Rajasthan as well. The ‘jhadu’ has swept through Baran, the constituency of the Education Minister, and the Aam Aadmi Party has emerged as the largest party.”
Arvind Kejriwal further said, “For the past few days, videos showing the poor condition of government schools in Rajasthan have been continuously going viral on social media. There is a lot of anger among the people. The Congress and BJP have ruined the entire state. People are fed up with the Congress-BJP duet. Now, people have a strong alternative in the form of the Aam Aadmi Party.”
Meanwhile, AAP National Media In-charge Anurag Dhanda stated, “In Baran, the home area of Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar, the Aam Aadmi Party has secured a clear majority in the Municipal Council. The jhadu’s victory on 32 out of 60 seats has made it clear that Arvind Kejriwal’s ideology is spreading to every corner of the country.”
The AAP shared that according to the results declared so far, 32 of the Aam Aadmi Party’s 60 candidates have won in the Baran Municipal Council elections. Similarly, 5 candidates each have won in the Pidawa Municipality and Jhalrapatan Municipality, while one candidate has won in the Jhalawar Municipal Council.
