Margao | AAP Working President Gerson Gomes said that Congress’ attacks on AAP have hurt AAP karyakartas and volunteers. He reiterated that AAP has made its position clear in favour of an alliance, with the primary objective being to defeat the BJP. He asked that Congress clarify their stance to Goans on an alliance with AAP.
Reacting to the second attack by a Congress leader on AAP in one month, Gerson state that it looked like the Congress wanted to push AAP in a corner. Gomes slammed Congress MLA Alton D’Costa’s statement on AAP’s activities, stating that both Congress and AAP are national parties and both have the right to work across the country.
He added that Congress’ attacks have caused hurt to AAP leaders & Karyakartas and common Goans who want this alliance to take place. He added that National Convenor Shri Arvind Kejriwal has also stated willingness for an alliance with the Congress in Goa on camera and yet the attacks on AAP by Congress don’t stop.
He stated that AAP would never go against the wishes of Goans on the issue of Alliance and was willing to bury personal and political ambitions in order to unite against the BJP. Reiterating AAP’s stand that they want to get into an alliance he asked that Congress clarify to Goa what their stance on an alliance was.
