The BJP’s so-called “four-engine government” has been caught once again manipulating Delhi’s air pollution data. After exposing discrepancies at the ISBT monitoring station, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has now released fresh evidence of data tampering at the Jahangirpuri AQI station. AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj shared a video on social media showing government workers spraying water directly around the monitoring site to artificially lower readings. “The BJP government’s fraud to underreport pollution levels continues unabated — their lies stand exposed yet again,” said Saurabh Bharadwaj.
On Saturday, senior AAP leader and Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj on Saturday exposed yet another instance of the BJP government’s fraud in manipulating Delhi’s air pollution data. He said, “Water is being sprinkled around monitoring stations so that there is no dust or pollution nearby, and the AQI machine records a lower reading. The BJP government is hiding the real pollution figures of Delhi and playing with the lives of its citizens. Across the city, no water sprinkling is visible on the roads, because the BJP government has deployed all the machines near AQI stations instead.”
On Saturday, Saurabh Bharadwaj shared a video on social media from Jahangirpuri AQI Monitoring Station, clearly showing a worker continuously sprinkling water near the station. The video, shot by an Aam Aadmi Party worker, confirms that the AQI monitoring station is located inside the ITI campus in Jahangirpuri. As seen in the footage, water sprinkling is being done repeatedly around the station — on BJP government orders — so that the AQI reading appears lower than the actual level of pollution.
The AAP worker in the video explains that instead of sprinkling water on roads or trees, workers are circling the AQI station and spraying water only in its vicinity. “The sole objective,” Bharadwaj said, “is to manipulate pollution data and show a reduced AQI figure.”
Earlier, the AQI meter was installed right above the main gate of the ITI campus, but it has now been shut down. Bharadwaj said, “Nowhere in Delhi is water being sprinkled on roads or trees, because all the sprinkling machines are circling around AQI monitoring stations to fake lower readings. The BJP government doesn’t believe in real work — it believes only in fake and fraudulent optics.”
He added, “This is the same BJP government that created a fake Yamuna for photo-ops, announced artificial rain from airplanes that never happened, and continues to fool people with propaganda instead of action.”
Animated Video Released Exposing ‘Cloud Seeding’ Fraud
Taking potshots at the BJP’s failed cloud seeding attempt, Saurabh Bharadwaj also released an animated video on social media on Saturday mocking the government’s false claims. Posting on X, the AAP Delhi Unit Chief wrote: “Fraud within fraud — nowhere else will you find such deceit; falsehood reigns supreme, and its noise echoes through every street. The wait has crossed all limits, yet there’s no word from the Delhi government. We are certain — the cloud seeding has failed; and the only reason left is their web of lies and false propaganda”(originally in Hindi).
In another post, he added sarcastically, “We thank the Delhi BJP government for their cloud seeding efforts. Their ‘seeded clouds’ have just flown towards Mumbai and will soon return to Delhi.”
