Terming the allegations made in the ED chargesheet as a part of the BJP’s agenda, Aam Aadmi Party National General Secretary (Organisation) Dr Sandeep Pathak said the ED does not have any evidence against party supremo Arvind Kejriwal and AAP and the move is aimed at keeping Delhi Chief Minister in jail and stopping the work of Kejriwal government.
Addressing the media here today, AAP National General Secretary (Organisation) and Rajya Sabha MP Dr Sandeep Pathak said that the ED has just filed the 7th supplementary chargesheet in the so-called liquor scam hatched by the Bharatiya Janata Party. After conducting raids at thousands of places in two years of investigation, after drawing the attention of the whole country, the country got another chargesheet. They have done two new things in that chargesheet. Firstly, they have named Arvind Kejriwal ji and secondly, they have named the Aam Aadmi Party as accused. I think that on 20th June, the PMLA Special Court has given its order very clearly on all the issues highlighted in the chargesheet. The order of 20th June was passed keeping in mind all the investigations and evidence of the ED in the last two years.
The Rajya Sabha MP said you will see in that order that all the things that they are raising now are clearly written. They are saying that the Aam Aadmi Party is the accused, they are again bringing the same old things of taking Rs 100 crore, taking Rs 40 crore to the scene. In PMLA it is said that unless the proceeds of the crime, that is, it is established where the money came from and where it was spent, a case cannot be made. There is no evidence on this. If you read the court order, it is very clearly written in its para 24 that the ED has failed to clarify as to how is required for tracing out the complete money trail which means ED failed to establish where the entire money came from and where it went. It is also written in it that since ED is unable to find where the money is, ED wants to keep him in jail until they trace the money.
Dr Sandeep Pathak said this is a very strange situation, and it is very clearly written in the court order that nothing has been found in the proceeds of the crime, not even a single rupee has been recovered from them. Secondly, where was the money used? It is repeatedly said that the money was used in Goa. If you read paragraph 26 of the court order, it is very clearly written in the order that this is also noticeable that ED is silent about the fact as to how the proceeds of the crime have been utilized in assembly elections at Goa by AAP. It is also written very clearly that the ED has failed to tell how and where the money was spent in the assembly elections. This is also the question that they have filed in the chargesheet now. Along with this, they have made Arvind Kejriwal the accused. In this order, it is also written that nowhere there is any direct evidence against Arvind Kejriwal. They have made the Aam Aadmi Party the accused. In this order, it is also written that nowhere there is any mention of any penny anywhere against AAP, all this is already written very clearly in the court order.
The AAP National General Secretary (Organisation) said now the question arises that after the court order, the ED did not receive any new evidence, then from where this story came from, which was not in the chargesheet. “There is another interesting thing in this. Overall, if you look at it, then it is very clearly written in paragraph 27 that how the ED is working with mala fide intent. That is, there is a flaw in the intentions of the ED, and it is working in a manner with a flawed intention. This is written in the court order. If you read paragraph 27, it is written that firstly, the material which was available with them in 2022, they are producing it in 2023. They used it for one year, which means that they can bring it as per their wish, as per their convenience, whenever they want, they are engaged in the process, their intent is being questioned. So, if the intent of ED is being questioned, then the whole thing seems to be fake,” said the senior AAP leader.
Dr. Sandeep Pathak said that it is clear from the court’s statement that the ED is filming a movie which is being directed from the BJP office. Its main objective is to keep Arvind Kejriwal in jail by any means and on the other hand attack the Aam Aadmi Party. They cannot win the elections. That is why they do such stunts. Raaj Kumar Anand was a minister in the Delhi government. The ED raided him for about 23 hours. During that time the BJP was attacking him from all sides. To cut the votes of the Aam Aadmi Party, they made Raaj Kumar contest the Lok Sabha elections from the BSP and today they have brought him back to the BJP. Similarly, in 2016, Income Tax Department raided Kartar Singh Tanwar and claimed to have found Rs 130 crores of unaccounted cash from him. At that time the BJP accused Tanwar of land and farm scam and today they have taken him into their party. The BJP’s washing machine is not stopping at all. In this Lok Sabha election, the public has given a clear signal to the BJP that it should now stop its washing machine business. The people of the country are not accepting this at all. The BJP, which dreamed of 400 seats, has come down to 240 seats but it is still not able to see the reality. The BJP should not ruin the country and investigation agencies like ED and CBI. It should do good and true politics by working honestly.
Responding to media questions, Dr Sandeep Pathak said that the agenda of the BJP is clear that it has to stop the work of Delhi by any means, harass our leaders and keep Arvind Kejriwal ji in jail. Therefore, on one hand they are trying to influence the governance of Delhi, but when they failed in this, they conspired to put Arvind Kejriwal in jail and now they are harassing the rest of our leaders. There is nothing hidden in this, the public is seeing everything. In this way, the BJP is snatching the rights of the elected government of a state and its citizens. The Prime Minister should immediately resign from his post, he has no moral right to run the government of this country.
Dr Sandeep Pathak said that the court has also accepted that the ED has not found any evidence against Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal. So far, only the money trail of Rs 60 crore received by the BJP through electoral bonds is clear. The whole country knows that Sarath Reddy has donated Rs 60 crore to the BJP. According to this, the BJP should be the first party as accused.
