The Aam Aadmi Party has launched a scathing attack against the BJP after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) sent its fourth summons to AAP’s national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal.

Addressing media persons on Saturday, Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi state convenor Shri Gopal Rai said that the BJP has sent this fourth summons through ED to stop Shri Arvind Kejriwal from preparing and campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

“The BJP does not in any way want any opposition leader to campaign in the Lok Sabha elections. Therefore, the BJP has made ED its tool to stop opposition leaders from campaigning. On Friday, the AAP announced the program of Arvind Kejriwal ji’s three-day visit to Goa from January 18 for the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections and on Saturday, ED has sent summons to him to appear before it on January 18. This is no coincidence. Our request is that ED should avoid becoming a frontal organization of BJP. Also, BJP should also avoid politically misusing ED,” said Shri Rai.

The AAP Delhi state convenor Shri Gopal Rai said ED remained silent for so many days, but when the program of Arvind Kejriwal’s Goa visit was announced in the media on Friday, ED sent a notice to Saturday to clash with his program.

Shri Rai said that it is evident from the notice that the BJP wants to stop the opposition leaders from campaigning in the Lok Sabha elections by any means. “ED is a constitutional institution. The notice of the constitutional body is leaked to the media before it reaches the Chief Minister. The ED notice has not reached the Chief Minister and we got the news of the notice being sent from the media that the fourth notice of ED has been issued. This work of leaking the notice to the media is not the work of constitutional institution, but the handiwork of BJP,” he said.
