The Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) family is growing every day. On Friday, impressed by the policies of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, senior advocate of the Supreme Court and President of All India Women Lawyers Association, Dr. Geeta Rani joined the Aam Aadmi Party. Several other Supreme Court lawyers also joined the party. Senior AAP leader and Minister in the Kejriwal cabinet Ms. Atishi welcomed all these lawyers into the Aam Aadmi Party with party’s Patkas (scarves) and caps. Dr. Geeta Rani has also been a councilor from Ward 17 of Panipat.

On this occasion, Dr. Geeta Rani said, “Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal has always worked to improve the lives of the common people and lawyers of Delhi, influenced by his policies, today we are joining the AAP. And now we will fight for the rights of the common individuals.”

Senior AAP leader Atishi said that many Supreme Court lawyers are joining the Aam Aadmi Party, influenced by the works of the Aam Aadmi Party and the works of Shri Arvind Kejriwal.

She further stated that today, senior Supreme Court lawyer Dr. Geeta Rani, who is the President of All India Women Lawyers Association and former councilor of Panipat Ward 17, has joined the Aam Aadmi Party family. Along with her, many other Supreme Court lawyers Shri Yadunandan Bansal, Smt. Anita Chahal, Shri Arya Ojha, Smt Divya, Shri Praveer Chaudhary, Shri Abhishek Sharma, and Smt. Niharika Sharma are also joining the Aam Aadmi Party.

Atishi said that we hope that, the way the Aam Aadmi Party is fighting for the rights of the common people from the streets to the Parliament, I have full confidence that the lawyer friends who are joining the Aam Aadmi Party today will also be fighting for the rights of the common people. They will fight for common people’s rights in the courts, she concluded.
