With renewed vigor and determination, AAP has set an ambitious target to secure an unprecedented majority in the 2025 Delhi Polls. At the forefront of this effort is AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, who has outlined the party’s vision to build on its legacy of transformative governance while fiercely defending the rights and welfare of Delhiites.
With an eye on consolidating its grassroots strength, the party has developed a comprehensive strategy to mobilize its cadre and ensure outreach at every booth in Delhi. In a series of powerful addresses to party workers & office bearers across East Delhi, South Delhi, and North East Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal declared his confidence in the continued trust and support of the people. He also highlighted the stark contrast between AAP’s citizen-centric governance and the Bharatiya Janata Party’s attempts to undermine progress through divisive politics and neglect –– calling on partyworkers to gear up for a “Dharm Yuddh”.
Addressing partyworkers, Arvind Kejriwal, said that the BJP has administration, immense pools of money and power. “A BJP insider revealed that they were supremely confident about winning the mayoral elections. The BJP had meticulously planned for it. Their top leaders stayed in the House until the last vote was counted, fully expecting victory. Preparations were in place for a rally from the Civic Centre to the BJP headquarters.”
“They even planned for the Prime Minister to come to the BJP headquarters and deliver a victory speech at prime time hour, convinced that they were on the brink of “winning Delhi.” But God is with us. He wielded his Sudarshan Chakra, and we emerged victorious,” he added.
The AAP Chief draws a parallel, saying, “this is a ‘dharm yuddh’, like centuries ago, the Kurukshetra battlefield witnessed between the Kauravas and the Pandavas. The BJP had immense power, ED-CBI, Income Tax Department, Delhi Police, immense money and resources. The Pandavas, however, had only Lord Krishna on their side. God is with the AAP because it is walking the path of truth.”
He said to the party workers that the path we walk on is difficult, this battle is very difficult. “What our party has faced in the past three years, leave India, no political party in the history of the world would have faced it. Such a contemporary and small party being hit with such tremendous vigour, and yet, we are still thriving. God wants something to be done through us. God is with AAP and AAP will win. AAP only will win Delhi Assembly Elections as well. God talks through signs and he gave us his sign when he made us win the Mayoral Elections despite BJP employing dirty political tactics.”
Arvind Kejriwal noted that the BJP has been deeply rattled by their loss in the mayoral election. “Their frustration is evident as they are clueless about how to stop us. They have even sent us to jail. In this election, they will go to any lengths to defeat us. But do not worry, AAP will win with a few more seats than last time, not less,” he said to the party workers.
Speaking on his government’s achievements, Arvind Kejriwal said, “People know how much work we’ve done in Delhi. We give six free ‘revdis’ to Delhiites. We didn’t indulge in corruption or loot public money, unlike others. We challenge the BJP: they govern 20 states; can they name even one state where they have provided any of the six ‘revdis’ we’ve implemented in Delhi?”
He elaborated on these schemes: “We’ve ensured 24-hour electricity in Delhi. Before us, power cuts lasted 8–10 hours daily. They have a government in 20 states, they couldn’t achieve this in 30 years of ruling Gujarat, that implies they will also ruin Delhi’s electricity if they win. I am an engineer, while the BJP lacks the competence to provide round-the-clock electricity.”
Highlighting the cost of electricity, he added that only Delhi and Punjab have zero electricity bills. None of the BJP-ruled 20 states can say the same. Electricity bills of people of BJP ruled states run into thousands. People’s earnings would be consumed in just paying the electricity bills if the BJP wins in Delhi.
The former Delhi CM mentioned the second revdi that is free water supply for Delhiites. He said, “The BJP issued inflated bills when I was in jail. Don’t pay those inflated bills. When our government returns, we will waive them all.”
Arvind Kejriwal spoke about Delhi’s education revolution education: “People earn for their children, to provide them with a good education in a private school bearing a hefty economic load since they had no choice. Today, Delhi’s children study in some of the best government schools. None of their 20 states have schools like ours. If you vote for them, they’ll destroy the future of our children.”
“We provided free treatments, built Mohalla Clinics, built state of the art hospitals for Delhiites. Tirth Yatra for the elderly and free travel for women in DTC buses. None of the 20 BJP ruled states provide any of these six revdis,” he highlighted.
The former Delhi CM reasoned, “We have limited powers in Delhi since a half chunk of Delhi’s governing is with the BJP-led central government. Despite our limited power and funds, we’ve achieved so much. Can the BJP name even one thing they’ve done for Delhiites in these ten years? The BJP-led central government has immense money and the LG.”
He urged Delhiites to not make the mistake of voting for the BJP. “They had the MCD and they ruined it. Sanitation Workers used to be on protest everyday while they had the MCD, which has never happened ever since we have taken power. Workers have been getting paid on time ever since,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia highlighted how the BJP, despite using its CBI, ED, Income Tax Department, Delhi Police and media, has failed to break the AAP. They have extravagantly expensive headquarters and Rs 12,000 crore in Electoral Bonds. They have everything but passion, which the AAP has. Ask any BJP worker, what does their party do and they will not be able to answer.
“While if you ask any AAP worker, even new ones, would have an answer and vision. And will proudly say I am from that party which is working on transforming Delhi’s education. The party that is working on healthcare and working with honesty,” he added. He contrasted the BJP’s inaction with AAP’s achievements, “We are the party that ensured 24-hour electricity in Delhi, and provided free bus travel for women,” Manish Sisodia stated.
