Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal today graciously accepted the results of the Delhi Assembly elections, reaffirming his commitment to serving the people of Delhi while extending congratulations to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on their victory.
Addressing the people of Delhi through a video shared on X, Arvind Kejriwal stated, “Today, the results of the Delhi elections have come in, and whatever decision the people have made, we humbly accept it. The people’s verdict is paramount. I wholeheartedly congratulate the Bharatiya Janata Party on this victory. I hope that they fulfill all the expectations and aspirations with which people have given them this mandate.”
Reflecting on AAP’s decade-long governance in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal emphasized the significant strides made in education, healthcare, water supply, electricity, and infrastructure. He assured that despite the electoral outcome, AAP remains steadfast in its mission to serve the people of Delhi. “Over the past ten years, we have made sincere efforts to improve the lives of Delhi’s residents. We have undertaken numerous initiatives in the fields of education, healthcare, water supply, electricity, and various other areas to provide relief to the people. We also worked to improve Delhi’s infrastructure.”
Arvind Kejriwal reiterated that AAP’s political journey has never been about power but about public service. “Now that the people have given their verdict, we will not only play the role of a constructive opposition but also continue serving society. We will stand with the people in their joys and sorrows, personally assisting anyone in need. We did not enter politics for power; we see politics as a medium to serve the people and to stand by them in times of need. We will continue this work, and in the future as well, we will remain committed to serving the people,” he affirmed.
Expressing gratitude to AAP’s workers, he lauded their relentless dedication and hard work during the elections. “I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all Aam Aadmi Party workers. They fought an incredible election, worked extremely hard, and endured a lot during this entire election process. They fought a commendable battle, and for this, I congratulate all the party workers,” he remarked.
Meanwhile, Senior AAP Leader Manish Sisoida also posted a video message for the public on X. He stated: “I am deeply grateful to the people of Delhi for giving me the opportunity to be a part of politics under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party for the past twelve years. I was given the chance to work, something I had never imagined. Becoming an MLA or a minister was never something I had even thought about, but you gave me the opportunity—to enter politics, to become an MLA.”
He added, “I made every effort to contribute to the education of Delhi’s children and to improve the education system in the city. I am happy that some progress has been made in this regard. However, the people of Delhi have now chosen not to give me this opportunity. Previously, they had given me the chance, and I worked tirelessly. Now that they have made a different decision, we fully respect their verdict and will move forward accordingly. As I have often said, I have dedicated my life to education. I have also come to deeply understand that without political will, the kind of educational reforms our country truly needs cannot be achieved. Therefore, I will continue working for education, I will continue advocating for education through politics, and I will keep fighting this battle. I firmly believe that if not today, then someday in the future, the people will once again give me the opportunity, and I will resume my work.”
