Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal, held a ‘Badlaav Jansabha’ (public meeting for change) in Hisar on Sunday. Addressing the huge crowd gathered in the meeting, she said that the people of Haryana should give a chance to the AAP for free and 24×7 electricity and good schools and hospitals. The AAP government will provide free and 24×7 electricity, good education and health, employment to every youth and Rs 1000 per month to women.
Senior State Vice President Anurag Dhanda, Dr. Manish Yadav, Pawan Fauji, Sanjay Bura, Virendra Sharma, Umesh Sharma, Sanjay Satrodia, Ravindra Sheoran, Subhash Kundu, Dalbir Kirmara, Sitaram, Satbir Jhanjharia, Ramnath Dhurwaria, Dr. CP Gupta, Vijay Chaudhariwas and Rajendra Sorkhi were also present in the Badlaav Jansabha.
Sunita Kejriwal said that Delhi Chief Minister and my husband Arvind Kejriwal is the son of Haryana. He was born and brought up in Hisar. I am daughter-in-law of Hisar and came to Hisar after my marriage. my married him in 1994. Arvind ji’s father worked here and his family lived in Hisar. He comes from a very humble family. Arvind was born in Siwani village, but his education and upbringing took place in Hisar. “No one could have imagined even in dreams that this boy would become the Chief Minister of Delhi after 20 years. This is not an ordinary thing. This is nothing less than a miracle,” she said.
Sunita Kejriwal said that Arvind Kejriwal was born on 16 August 1968. That day was Krishna Janmashtami. This is also not merely a coincidence. I think God wants something big to be done through your son. Otherwise, how can a person born in Siwani village, brought up in Hisar become chief minister of Delhi. Arvind ji started from zero. First, he formed his own party and in the first election itself became the Chief Minister of Delhi. He brought about a great upheaval in the country’s politics. He did such work that even old parties and big leaders could not do.
“Arvind Kejriwal improved the government schools of Delhi and Punjab where the Aam Aadmi Party is in power. He brightened the future of the children of the poor. He built excellent mohalla clinics and hospitals where free and good treatment is available. He made electricity free. Earlier, there would be long power cuts but now there is 24-hour supply. He gave women the facility to travel free in buses. He made pilgrimages free for the elderly and now he is going to give an honorarium of Rs 1000 to every woman every month. The scheme is going to be implemented soon,” she said.
Sunita Kejriwal said that your son, Hisar’s son, has done lots of work for the public. “The public should tell whether there is any party which has done great work, built Mohalla Clinics or improved government hospitals. Has any party made electricity free? Only Haryana’s son Arvind Kejriwal can do such things. That is why Modi ji is jealous of your son Arvind Kejriwal. He can’t do all these good works such as good education, quality medical treatment, electricity, water. To stop all these works, Modiji sent you son to jail in a fake case.
Sunita Kejriwal said, “They (BJP) say Arvind Kejriwal is corrupt. I want to say, Modi ji, if Kejriwal ji is dishonest, no one in the world is honest.”
She said till recently, Bangladesh was also going through a similar phase when opposition leaders were put in jail. There was a massive rebellion there. So much so that the Prime Minister had to flee the country. “God’s mill grinds slow but sure,” said Sunita Kejriwal.
She said Modi ji has put your son in jail, he has challenged the people of Haryana that I put your son in jail, do whatever you can. “I, the daughter-in-law of Haryana, ask you will the people of Haryana tolerate this insult? Your son Kejriwal is a lion, he is not going to bow down in front of Modi ji.”
Sunita Kejriwal said your son has made the whole of Haryana and Hisar proud in the country and the world, will you not support him. “Assembly elections are around the corner; the BJP should not get even a single seat. You have to make your son win with a huge majority. This is not about Arvind Kejriwal, this is a question of Haryana’s honour,” she said.
Sunita Kejriwal said in a meeting held in Nalwa (Hisar), we came to know that there is no grain market, no government school, no government hospital. Ayushman cards have been given there for treatment, but you cannot get treatment in a private hospital because the government does not give money to private hospitals. Farmers do not get tubewell connections. “It has been 10 years of the BJP government, what development have they done,” she said.
Sunita Kejriwal said you people pay tax on the goods you buy; GST is imposed even on the wheat flour that people buy from the market. “It is your right to get basic amenities such as roads, water, electricity, good education, and quality medical treatment from the government. Your son Arvind Kejriwal will provide you all these facilities. These amenities are being given in Delhi and Punjab,” she said.
Sunita Kejriwal said that your son Arvind Kejriwal has given five guarantees to the people of Haryana. Arvind Kejriwal has given the first guarantee to Haryana that domestic electricity will be free here like Delhi and Punjab. There will be 24-hour power supply.
His second guarantee, like Delhi and Punjab, we will work to build mohalla clinics in every village and every city. Government hospitals will be good, everyone will get good and free treatment.
The third guarantee: we will improve government schools, where good and free education will be provided.
His fourth guarantee is that we will give Rs 1000 per month to every woman in the state. This is going to be implemented in Delhi and Punjab soon.
She said there is lot of unemployment in Haryana. Arvind Kejriwal’s fifth guarantee is that every unemployed youth will be provided employment.
Sunita Kejriwal said apart from this, your son has made a detailed plan for the development and prosperity of farmers, businessmen, sportspersons, women and the elderly. “All of us will work together to make a new Haryana. For this, you will have to press the button on the ‘Jhadu’ (broom, AAP symbol),” she concluded.
AAP Haryana senior vice president Anurag Dhanda said that there is a wave of change in the whole country. First Delhi changed, then Punjab changed and now there is a wave of change in Haryana. This time the Aam Aadmi Party will form the government in Haryana. Arvind Kejriwal started the fight against dictatorship. Its results have started coming out. He said that when Hisar’s son Arvind Kejriwal went to Delhi, the people of Delhi welcomed him with open arms. When he went to Punjab, Arvind Kejriwal’s thinking got strengthened there too and a one-sided government was formed.
He said that now the people of Haryana want change. If electricity is being provided free of cost in Delhi and Punjab, then people in Haryana also want free electricity for 24 hours. The poor children here need better education in government schools. Today a large number of women have arrived, they are worried about the future of their children. The Bharatiya Janata Party has worked to harass the farmers, women, youth and businessmen of Haryana.
Anurag Dhanda said that Congress ruled Haryana for 25 years. BJP has been in power for 10 years. He asked the people, have you started getting free electricity for 24 hours? Have great government schools been built for your children? If you have not got anything, then why vote for such parties. He said that now the time has come for change.
