The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) continues to expand its influence as several Congress office bearers, inspired by Arvind Kejriwal’s politics of work and AAP’s accomplishments in Delhi, joined the party, on Tuesday. These include former Vice President of Youth Congress from Kalkaji Jaspreet Singh Atwal, former General Secretary Nadeem Khan, Gurpreet Singh Atwal, and Gurpal Singh. Chief Minister Atishi welcomed them by placing the signature AAP cap and scarf on them, symbolizing their commitment to Arvind Kejriwal’s vision for Delhi.Addressing the press, CM Atishi highlighted the growing support for the Aam Aadmi Party ahead of the upcoming elections, she stated, “I am pleased to share that, recognizing the impactful work of the Delhi government under Arvind Kejriwal—such as free electricity, water, improved schools, hospitals, and free bus travel for women—many Congress leaders from different parts of Delhi are leaving the Congress Party and joining the Aam Aadmi Party today.”These leaders include Jaspreet Singh Atwal, former Vice President of Youth Congress (Kalkaji); Nadeem Khan, former General Secretary of Youth Congress (Kalkaji); Gurpreet Singh Atwal, former Vice President of District Sangam Vihar Youth Wing; and Shakuntala Pareva, former Congress candidate from East Patel Nagar Ward and currently All India Vice President of the Khatik community.CM Atishi added that Gajender Singh, the current Vice President of Youth Congress, along with their entire team—including Sehdev, Gurpal Singh, Aryansh, Rajveer Singh, Advocate Devendra Rajora, Bhagwan Das, Surinder Chatterji, Harpreet Singh, Harjeet Singh, Rohit Kohli, Gurshan Sharma, R.K. Choudhary, Inderjit Sharma, Harvinder Singh Lali, and Paramjeet Singh—are also joining the Aam Aadmi Party today.CM Atishi stated that these leaders will now work to further the initiatives of Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party. She said, “With the election announcement for February 5th, we will all work together to bring Arvind Kejriwal’s government back to Delhi with a massive majority for the fourth time.”
