In a thunderous show of public support, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Friday asserted that Punjab is witnessing a rapid developmental transformation under the AAP government. Speaking at a mega roadshow in Ludhiana West Assembly constituency in support of AAP candidate Sanjeev Arora, the AAP Chief affirmed, “Punjab is changing fast. We will make Rangla Punjab a reality.”
With Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Delhi LoP Atishi by his side, Arvind Kejriwal declared that the massive crowd turnout was a resounding endorsement of AAP’s politics of performance—proof that Punjab’s voters now reward work, not hollow slogans.
In a powerful address to the people of Ludhiana West, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal reminded the public of their historic mandate in 2022. “In 2022, the people of Punjab gave unprecedented support to the AAP, and the party made history by winning 92 out of 117 seats. The people of Ludhiana West also backed the party during that wave. Back then, the sitting MLA from Ludhiana West was consumed by anger, arrogance, and ego. The public rejected him and elected AAP’s candidate Gurpreet Gogi,” he said. “Unfortunately, due to an accident, Gurpreet Gogi is no longer with us.”

The AAP Supremo went on to speak about the upcoming by-election for the Ludhiana West seat. “In this by-election, Sanjeev Arora is the AAP candidate. The people of Ludhiana know him well. Modi ji says sindoor runs through his veins—about that I cannot say—but Sanjeev Arora certainly has Ludhiana running through his veins. He thinks about Ludhiana’s development and its people 24×7. Ludhiana will not find a better candidate or MLA than him.”
He affirmed that the AAP government in Punjab, along with Sanjeev Arora, will take Ludhiana to new heights of development. “The opposition candidate is already hurling abuses every day. For the next two years, he will keep doing that. But it is the AAP government that will deliver real work for the people. Our government does what the people want. If you want arrogance and anger, vote for the other party’s candidate. But if you want service and real work, vote for Sanjeev Arora.”
Meanwhile, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann echoed Arvind Kejriwal’s sentiments, saying, “Ludhiana West had reposed its trust in AAP earlier and will do so again by voting for Sanjeev Arora under the symbol of the broom. Gurpreeet Gogi, the former MLA from Ludhiana West, is no longer with us, and AAP has now fielded Sanjeev Arora in his place. In the next few days, it will become absolutely clear from the unprecedented support, energy and passion visible in our roadshows that regardless of the serial number of AAP’s symbol on the EVM, it is destined to come first.”
The AAP candidate from Ludhiana West, Sanjeev Arora, called the AAP and Arvind Kejriwal forces of transformation. “In the past 2.5 years, Arvind Kejriwal has accomplished what others couldn’t in the last 25 to 50 years. Since Independence, many people in Punjab had not received the registry of their lands. Their lands were being sold at throwaway prices and they were helpless. But within just 2.5 months, the AAP government completed all those registrations. This is something that has never happened before.” Sanjeev Arora added, “I will make Ludhiana such a city that every outsider who visits will wish their own city could be like Ludhiana.”
Senior AAP leader and Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia extended his congratulations to Sanjeev Arora on filing his nomination for the Ludhiana West by-election. Posting on social media platform X, he said, “I am fully confident that the people of Punjab will once again press the ‘jhadu’ button under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann and send Sanjeev Arora to the Assembly with a resounding victory.”
In another post, Manish Sisodia highlighted the AAP government’s swift justice. “A CM who delivers justice from the stage itself—CM Bhagwant Mann received a complaint, summoned the SSP right on stage, and ordered an FIR to be filed. This kind of action is only possible under the AAP government. This is what AAP politics is about: clean intentions and immediate action.”
Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Delhi Assembly, Atishi, who was also present at the roadshow in Ludhiana, said in a post on X, “Today’s grand roadshow in Ludhiana has made one thing clear—people’s trust remains firmly with the Aam Aadmi Party in this by-election as well. AAP’s candidate Sanjeev Arora filed his nomination today from Ludhiana (West). The people of Ludhiana were seen standing solidly with the forward-moving Punjab.”
