Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal addressed the Badlav Jan Sabha in Rohtak and Bhiwani of Haryana on Sunday. Paying homage to the messiah of farmers, Deenbandhu Chaudhary Chhotu Ram, at his birthplace Sampla in Rohtak, she said that Arvind Kejriwal was born on the day of Krishna Janmashtami in Hisar, Haryana. This is not a mere coincidence. God wants him to do something big. He changed the politics of Delhi and Punjab, now it is Haryana’s turn.

Speaking at the public rally at Sampla in Rohtak, Sunita Kejriwal said you all know that my husband Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, is a son of Haryana. When I married him in 1994, his family lived in Hisar. His father worked there. Arvind ji was born in Shivani village, but his education and upbringing took place in Hisar. “No one could even dream that 20 years later this son will become the chief minister of Delhi. This is no ordinary thing; it is no less than a miracle,” she said.
Sunita Kejriwal said Arvind ji was born on 16 August 1968 and you will be surprised to know that it was Krishna Janmashtami, that is, Lord Krishna’s birthday. This is no coincidence. I think many times that God definitely wants him to do something, otherwise how a boy born in a village from an ordinary family would go to Delhi and become the CM of Delhi. Arvind ji started from zero, he formed his own party and became the Chief Minister of Delhi in the first attempt itself. Isn’t it surprising?” she said.
Talking about Kejriwal’s model of governance that shook the entire country’s politics, Sunita Kejriwal said Arvind Kejriwal did such works which many old parties, big leaders could not do. “Today, people in the entire country, the entire world knows Arvind Kejriwal for his work. He improved the government schools in both Delhi and Punjab that brightened the future of poor children; made Mohalla clinics and hospitals wonderful where now good and free treatment is available. He made electricity free, earlier there used to be long power cuts, now there is electricity for 24 hours. There is a plan to give Rs 1000 every month to women. Your Kejriwal has done a lot of work. He has arranged for free pilgrimage for the elderly,” she said.
Sunita Kejriwal said is there any party that has improved the government schools, built Mohalla clinics and improved hospitals, made electricity free. There is no such party that can do this. All such works can be done by only one person, your son Kejriwal, the son of Haryana.”
She said that is why Modi Ji is jealous of Kejriwal as he cannot do all these things. “To stop his work, he made a fake case against him and put him in jail. Modi Ji says that Kejriwal is a thief. Modi Ji, if Kejriwal is a thief then there is no honest person in this world. Modi Ji put the son of Haryana in jail,” she said.
Sunita Kejriwal said Modi Ji has challenged the people of Haryana that I have put your son in jail, do whatever you want. “As a daughter-in-law of Haryana, I ask you, will you tolerate this silently, will you tolerate this insult,” she said.
Urging the people of Haryana to give a befitting reply to the BJP in the forthcoming Assembly elections, Sunita Kejriwal said Modi Ji is from Gujarat and in 2014 when Modi Ji became the Prime Minister, the whole of Gujarat supported him, gave all the seats to BJP. “Will you support your son? Your son has made Haryana proud in the whole world. You have to avenge this insult. There are assembly elections after 3 months, the BJP should not win even a single seat in these elections. You have to make your son Arvind Kejriwal win with huge mandate. This is not about Arvind Kejriwal, this is about the respect of Haryana,” she said.
Highlighting the poor amenities available in Sampla, she said, “Government schools are in a dilapidate condition here. There is shortage of medicines, equipment and doctors in government hospital here. Residents of Sampla have to go to Rohtak and Delhi for medical treatment. Electricity is dear and frequent power cuts take place in Sampla.”
Sunita Kejriwal said it is your right to get basic amenities such as good education, quality medical treatment, good roads and potable water against the tax you pay to the government. “What did the BJP government give you in the last 10 years. The BJP government is not concerned about development. Your Kejriwal will give you good schools, brighten the future of your children. He will give you good health facilities,” she said.
Announcing Kejriwal’s 5 guarantees for Haryana, Sunita Kejriwal said Arvind Kejriwal has given 5 guarantees for all of you. The first guarantee is that like Delhi and Punjab, domestic electricity will be free and there will be 24-hour electricity supply.
She said the second guarantee is that like Delhi and Punjab, Mohalla clinics will be built in every village, every city, government hospitals will be good, everyone will get good and free treatment.
Sunita Kejriwal said the third guarantee is that government schools will be made excellent where good and free education will be available.
She said the fourth guarantee is that every mother and sister will get Rs 1000 every month.
Sunita Kejriwal said the fifth guarantee is that we will provide employment to every unemployed youth. Apart from this, your Kejriwal has made many plans for the development and prosperity of every section of society, including farmers, women, sportspersons, businessmen, labourers, elderly, etc. “Your son changed Delhi, your son changed Punjab. Now you all have to give your son the responsibility of fixing his own house (Haryana),” she said.
Sunita Kejriwal urged the audience to vote for the Aam Aadmi Party.
Addressing the audience, AAP Haryana unit senior state vice president Anurag Dhanda said that the people of Haryana have voted for all the parties. They gave all the parties a chance to be in power, but no party could solve the basic issues of schools, hospitals, electricity, water. “This time, they are going to give a chance to their son and Haryana’s son Arvind Kejriwal. Arvind Kejriwal changed the politics of Delhi and Punjab. He is Haryana’s son Kejriwal. The whole world knows him for his work,” he said.
Anurag Dhanda said that for the last 10 years, BJP’s dictatorship has been going on. Big leaders and big businessmen have bowed down in front of it. In the entire country, only Haryana’s son Arvind Kejriwal is fighting them by looking them in the eye. “Arvind Kejriwal said that I will not bow down, I will not step back,” said senior state vice president, AAP Haryana.
Anurag Dhanda said that Kejriwal is fighting against the BJP for the rights of the people. Kejriwal says that the child of the poor should study, but BJP says that the child of the poor should not study, close the government schools. Arvind Kejriwal says that the poor should get electricity for 24 hours, but the BJP says that the poor do not have the right to live a good life. Arvind Kejriwal says that the farmer should be respected, but the BJP says that let the farmer sit on the road. There is no point in listening to their demands.
Anurag Dhanda said the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal do not make any such promise which we have not fulfilled. Arvind Kejriwal has shown by bringing change in Punjab and Delhi, now he will do it in Haryana as well, said senior state vice president, AAP Haryana.
