The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday pointed out that the BJP has orchestrated the “I Love Mohammad” versus “I Love Mahadev” controversy in Uttar Pradesh as part of a deeper conspiracy to inflame communal tensions and bury real issues like unemployment, farmers’ distress, education, and healthcare. Warning that BJP’s divisive politics, aided by so-called religious leaders, could push the country towards ruin, senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh urged citizens not to fall into the trap of the party’s hate-driven agenda.
Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Saturday released a video message exposing a “deep conspiracy” by the BJP to vitiate the atmosphere in the name of religion and divert the nation’s attention away from real issues. Sanjay Singh said, “Whenever people of the country question the government on unemployment, farmers’ distress, education, or healthcare, the BJP immediately manufactures a new controversy to ensure that these core issues are buried.”
The AAP MP further stated, “Today, the youth in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand are raising their voice against paper leaks, and the people of Ladakh are demanding full statehood. To distract from these burning issues, the BJP is deliberately trying to inflame religious tensions in Uttar Pradesh.”
He added that this pattern is neither new nor accidental. “Whenever the common people and youth try to take issues concerning their lives to those in power, exactly at that time some fresh controversy is manufactured. This happens in a very planned way and under a deep conspiracy. We have countless examples. For years now, religion has ceased to be a symbol of faith or devotion to God—it is being used as a tool for fights and disputes,” he warned.
Sanjay Singh stressed that the BJP’s hate-driven government repeatedly begins exploiting religion before every festival. “Ten days before Eid and ten days after, efforts are made to stoke clashes. Similarly, during Bakrid, Holi, Diwali, and other festivals, their people attempt to provoke disputes. During Navratri, they create controversy by demanding closure of meat shops. Even at the start of Kanwar Yatra, the atmosphere in the country is deliberately vitiated to manufacture conflict. We must ask ourselves—does religion symbolize our faith and devotion to God, or has it simply become a symbol of clashes and disputes?” he asked.
On the paper leak issue, Sanjay Singh pointed out that the youth of Uttarakhand are on the streets, saying their lives are being destroyed by such scandals. “This paper leak scam cannot be tolerated anymore. In Uttar Pradesh too, papers for constable, sub-inspector, lekhpal, and teacher recruitments were leaked. Even PCS and judge recruitment papers were leaked. Across the country, there was uproar over SSC exams, with youth protesting on the streets. In Ladakh, people were agitating for full statehood, and renowned social activist Sonam Wangchuk was arrested and jailed under the NSA,” he said.
He added that amid these protests, “some intellectual terrorists” and the BJP-led Central Government that thrives on hate decided that if such issues continue to gain ground, their agenda would collapse. “BJP has no intention of giving schools, hospitals, education, employment, or trade. Their aim is to destroy people in the name of inflation, farming, unemployment, and education. BJP even wants children to be forced to eat salt and roti, patients to find dogs sitting on hospital beds, and operations to be conducted under torchlight,” Sanjay Singh said.
He reiterated that BJP’s only goal is the devastation of ordinary people. “That is why when the paper leak issue, Ladakh’s statehood demand, and SSC protests escalated, and youth came onto the streets, BJP decided to derail everything by starting fresh communal tensions in Uttar Pradesh. This is a deep conspiracy of the Yogi Government,” he said.
“Some hate-peddling intellectual terrorists are also involved. They never question their masters, nor do they ask why India-Pakistan matches are organized under Modi. They play with people’s emotions, never raise issues of jobs, education, or healthcare, and want the country drowned in hatred. They sow seeds of hatred in the minds of innocent people, trapping them permanently,” Sanjay Singh declared.
Citing the latest controversy in Uttar Pradesh, Sanjay Singh said: “Fights over slogans like ‘I Love Mohammad,’ ‘I Love Mahadev,’ ‘I Love Guru Nanak Dev Ji,’ and ‘I Love Lord Jesus’ happen only because BJP wants to bury issues like schools, hospitals, roads, corruption, and inflation. These disputes are manufactured, and the people of this country get caught in them.”
He urged citizens to make a choice. “Now people must decide whether to get trapped in these conflicts or not. Religion can be a symbol of faith, but if disruptive elements from different communities try to destroy social harmony and the BJP Government supports them, then understand that this is a conspiracy to bury real issues of life. From this, we will get neither education, nor jobs, nor hospitals, nor solutions to farmers’ problems—because BJP knows well that people vote in the name of hatred and Hindu-Muslim. That is why BJP asks itself—why work for people, why give them jobs?”
Sanjay Singh recalled the Prime Minister’s remark that the youth of Uttar Pradesh would get employment through cow dung. “If people believe that cow dung will improve their lives, then they may continue indulging in these disputes. But if they understand that these controversies will never solve anything, then the time has come to stop them. We must turn the real issues of life into matters of politics, social consciousness, and struggle, force governments to listen, and demand solutions. If people agree with this, then move forward, raise your voice, and save yourselves from these conflicts,” Sanjay Singh said.
