AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal met with JMM Executive President & Jharkhand CM-designate Hemant Soren, on Tuesday. The JMM Chief was visiting the AAP Convenor’s residence following his party’s victory in the recently held Jharkhand Assembly elections along with his wife & JMM MLA Kalpana Soren. On the occasion, Hemant Soren invited Arvind Kejriwal to his forthcoming oath-taking ceremony.
The AAP Convenor and his wife, Sunita Kejriwal, warmly greeted their counterparts on their arrival and duly accepted the invitation, extending their wishes to the Hemant Soren led government to serve the state of Jharkhand with utmost sincerity. Senior AAP Leader Manish Sisodia along with Rajya Sabha MPs Sanjay Singh and National General Secretary (Organisation) Dr. Sandeep Pathak were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the media, Arvind Kejriwal extended his heartfelt congratulations to Hemant Soren for his party’s success, highlighting his inspiring journey from imprisonment to contesting elections. “The way he was imprisoned and then emerged to fight the elections is a great source of inspiration for us all,” Arvind Kejriwal stated. He warmly welcomed Hemant Soren and his wife Kalpana Soren to his residence and expressed his eagerness to attend the upcoming swearing-in ceremony. “I pray that the next five years are filled with success for him, and may the journey of development in Jharkhand continue,” he added.
In response, Hemant Soren thanked everyone and acknowledged the significance of the occasion. He informed the media that the formation of the new government under the INDIA alliance is set to commence on November 28. He emphasized that following this gathering, he and his team will return to Jharkhand to advance their development agenda.
Following the meeting, Arvind Kejriwal also extended his wishes on X (formerly Twitter), and wrote, “Many congratulations to Hemant ji and Kalpana ji for the magnificent victory in Jharkhand. Thank you for coming to our house today. We will definitely attend the swearing-in ceremony.”
While, Hemant Soren wrote on X, “Today I met the National Convenor of Aam Aadmi Party, my elder brother Arvind Kejriwal ji and his wife Sunita Kejriwal ji in Delhi and invited them to attend the swearing-in ceremony of our government on 28th November.”
