Slogans were raised, ‘Dictatorship-Hitlerism will not work in Parliament premises’, ‘Release Kejriwal’, ‘Stop Misusing ED-CBI

The entire INDIA alliance has mobilized against the political use of investigative agencies by the BJP government at the Centre. For the last 10 years, the central government has been targeting the leaders of opposition parties for its political gain. This process is still going on. Therefore, on Monday, all the constituent parties of the INDIA alliance, including Congress, Trinamool Congress (TMC), Samajwadi Party (SP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), united and protested in the Parliament premises.

The INDIA alliance unanimously demanded the central government to stop the misuse of investigation agencies as well as to immediately release AAP national convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said that the BJP government at the Centre has put Arvind Kejriwal in jail by misusing the Enforcement Directorate (ED) – Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Similarly, central investigation agencies are being misused against opposition parties across the country.

As per the pre-announced program, all the constituent parties of the INDIA alliance reached the Parliament on Monday to protest against the misuse of central investigation agencies. Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs of all the constituent parties of the INDIA Alliance reached the Parliament with posters in their hands with the slogan ‘Stop the misuse of investigation agencies’ written on them. Leaders of all parties gathered on the premises and started their protest against the central government. During this, the leaders of the INDIA alliance raised slogans in the Parliament premises like ‘Dictatorship-Hitlerism will not work’, ‘Release Kejriwal’, and ‘Stop misusing ED-CBI.’

Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said that today central investigation agencies are being misused in the entire country. The BJP government at the centre has put Arvind Kejriwal in jail by misusing the ED and CBI. Investigation agencies are being misused against Congress and other political parties across the country including Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. Today, the entire INDIA alliance is protesting against this. The trial court has clearly said in its order that ED has no evidence against Arvind Kejriwal. The ED is working against Arvind Kejriwal with malice. Despite this, the CBI has put him in jail by filing a false case against him.
