As violence spirals out of control in Delhi, AAP leaders are holding the central government accountable for its failure to address the deteriorating law and order situation. AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal has demanded urgent intervention from Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia criticised the government’s inaction amid rising gang wars and gun violence across the capital.A major incident unfolded last night in Delhi’s Sangam Vihar, where a gang war erupted, leaving three people injured, two of whom are in critical condition. The violent clash lasted for about an hour, during which the attackers reportedly shot the victim in the neck.On this, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal took to social media platform X, stating, “Amit Shah ji, please stop this. What have you people done to Delhi. Do something? Prime Minister, if Amit Shah is not able to do it then give us a capable Home Minister who can provide security to the people of Delhi.”Meanwhile, Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia stated, “In the Sangam Vihar area of Delhi, bullets were fired for an hour last night, and people were terrified. The entire area was in fear as the gang war continued. This is a dangerous situation where open gang wars are taking place in the capital of the country, and almost daily, gunshots are being heard in various parts.”He continued, “In the incident that happened last night in Sangam Vihar, two people are reportedly badly injured and hospitalized, and another man was shot. What is happening here? Prime Minister Modi comes to Delhi and hurls abuse at Arvind Kejriwal, saying that now he wants to take over the Delhi government.”Asking the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and the BJP, Manish Sisodia stated, “Delhiiites have given you one responsibility – to maintain law and order. But you can’t even handle law and order. The situation has worsened to such an extent that every day, there are reports of gunfire from different areas. Gang wars are ongoing, and people live in fear.”“And yet, Prime Minister Modi demands control of Delhi’s schools, hospitals, electricity, water, and welfare services from us while criticizing Arvind Kejriwal, even though they are unable to manage their sole responsibility of law and order. Delhiites are fully aware of what will happen to these essential services if PM Modi, Amit Shah, and the BJP government take control of Delhi’s hospitals, schools, and basic facilities,” asserted the senior AAP leader.Manish Sisodia also posted on X, saying, “Last night in Delhi’s Sangam Vihar area, bullets were fired openly for an hour. A bloody gang war unfolded across the entire area. Today, in the nation’s capital, gunshots are heard almost daily. Law and order has completely broken down.”He added, “Prime Minister Modi also knows how bad the law and order situation in Delhi is. That’s why, in both of his election speeches, he did not mention Delhi’s law and order even once. He did not once mention what the BJP government has done to improve law and order in Delhi.”He further added, “Meanwhile, the BJP was given one task by the people of Delhi – to fix the law and order situation. The people of Delhi know that if the BJP, which has caused this breakdown in law and order, is given responsibility for Delhi’s schools, hospitals, electricity, and welfare services, the situation would only worsen.”Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj posted on X, saying, “In Delhi’s Sangam Vihar, bullets were fired for an hour late at night, with several people injured, some in critical condition. But the central government remained in a deep sleep.”
