In preparation for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has ramped up its grassroots outreach with a series of district conventions aimed at mobilizing widespread support. Led by AAP’s National Convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, along with senior leaders, these conventions will unite booth-level, mandal-level, and district officers from 14 key districts across Delhi.
AAP Delhi State Convenor Gopal Rai announced that the conventions will begin on November 11 and conclude on November 20. Gopal Rai emphasized that through this initiative, AAP aims to strengthen its connection with the people of Delhi and inspire volunteers to work collectively for a better future under AAP’s governance.
During a press conference, AAP Delhi state convenor Gopal Rai stated, “The Aam Aadmi Party is continuously active in preparing for the Delhi Assembly elections.” He highlighted the party’s recent efforts, saying, “In the first phase, we succeeded in presenting the development work carried out by the Delhi government in each assembly constituency to the public through the ‘Aapka Vidhayak Aapke Dwar’ program.”
Following this initiative, he noted that AAP has now completed the formation of booth committees across Delhi, composed of volunteers committed to working for the upcoming assembly elections.
Gopal Rai announced, “Before Diwali, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, along with senior leaders, successfully completed a padayatra (march) in all constituencies across Delhi.” He added that the second phase of Arvind Kejriwal’s padayatra in various assembly constituencies is currently underway.”
“Alongside the padayatra in different constituencies, to intensify preparations for the upcoming assembly elections and to uplift the morale of booth-level and mandal-level officers, the Aam Aadmi Party will commence a District Officer Convention starting from November 11,” he stated.
The AAP Delhi State Convenor shared that beginning on November 11, the Aam Aadmi Party will hold 14 district conventions across Delhi, organized along the party’s structural lines, with each district encompassing five assembly constituencies. During these conventions, AAP’s national convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, will address officers, joined by other senior party leaders.
Gopal Rai highlighted that all officers at the booth, mandal, ward, and assembly levels will take an oath at these district conventions, committing to the goal of forming a majority government in the next assembly elections. This target will be shared with all booth-level workers to inspire unified efforts toward AAP’s vision for Delhi’s future.
Gopal Rai announced that the district conventions starting on November 11 will be organized as follows:
I). On November 11, at 5 pm in the North West Lok Sabha constituency, the convention for Kirari district will be held at Fauji Vatika Nithari Pulia in Kirari, with officials from other assembly constituencies also participating.
II). The same day, at 7 pm in the West Lok Sabha constituency, the district workers’ convention for Tilak Nagar district will be held.
III). On November 12, at 5 pm in the New Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, the district convention for Karol Bagh district will take place in Rajinder Nagar. Later, at 7 pm in the South Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, the convention for Sangam Vihar district will be held within the Sangam Vihar assembly constituency.
IV). On November 15, at 5 pm in the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency, the convention for Chandni Chowk district will be held in Model Town, followed by the West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency’s convention for Najafgarh district at 7 pm in Matiala.
V). On November 16, at 5 pm in the East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, the convention for Patparganj district will be held in Trilokpuri. Later, at 7 pm in the North East Lok Sabha constituency, the convention for Babarpur district will be held at the Babarpur bus terminal.
VI). On November 18, in the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency, the convention for Adarsh Nagar district will take place in Wazirpur. At 7 pm in the North West Lok Sabha constituency, the convention for Rohini district will be held in Narela.
VII). On November 19, at 5 pm in the East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, the convention for Shahdara district will be held at the Karkardooma CBD Ground. In the North East Lok Sabha constituency, the convention for Karawal Nagar district will be held within the Gonda assembly constituency.
VIII). Finally, on November 20, at 5 pm in the South Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, the convention for Mehrauli district will be held, followed by a 7 pm convention in the New Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, also in Gonda.
Gopal Rai concluded by stating, “Starting from November 11, these district conventions will take place across 14 districts in various parts of Delhi, concluding on November 20. Each district encompasses five assembly constituencies, where booth-level officers will play an active role. During these conventions, nearly one lakh booth-level officers will take an oath, and from November 20 onward, they will assume responsibility for leading Aam Aadmi Party’s electoral campaign in the upcoming elections.”
