The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday released the list of candidates for the upcoming bye-elections in 12 wards of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). Sharing the list on X, AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj extended advance congratulations to all the candidates for their victory. The AAP Delhi Unit Chief affirmed that all AAP candidates have a strong presence among the people in their respective areas and enjoy complete trust of the public.
AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj stated that the party’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC) has decided to give tickets only to the party’s dedicated workers. “We will not give tickets to any parachute candidates coming from other parties. Keeping this in mind, the party has given a ticket to Babita Ahlawat from the Women’s Wing to contest from Shalimar Bagh. Similarly, Muddasir Usman Qureshi, State Co-Secretary of the Youth Wing, has been fielded from Chandni Mahal; Eeshna Gupta, Co-Incharge of AAP Students’ Wing ASAP (Association of Students for Alternative Politics) of the Delhi Students’ Wing, from Greater Kailash; Rajbala Sehrawat, President of Dwarka-B Ward, from Dwarka-B; and Rajan Arora, Rajinder Nagar Assembly President, from Naraina Ward,” he shared.
According to the list shared by Saurabh Bharadwaj for the MCD bye-elections, “Ram Swaroop Kanojia will contest from Ward No. 164 (Dakshinpuri), Anuj Sharma from Ward No. 163 (Sangam Vihar-A), Eeshna Gupta from Ward No. 173 (Greater Kailash), Geeta Rawat from Ward No. 198 (Vinod Nagar), Babita Ahlawat from Ward No. 56 (Shalimar Bagh-B), Seema Vikas Goyal from Ward No. 65 (Ashok Vihar), Harsh Sharma from Ward No. 74 (Chandni Chowk), Muddasir Usman Qureshi from Ward No. 76 (Chandni Mahal), Rajbala Sehrawat from Ward No. 120 (Dwarka-B), Anil Lakra from Ward No. 35 (Mundka), Rajan Arora from Ward No. 139 (Naraina) and Keshav Chauhan from Ward No. 128 (Dichaon Kalan).”
