Amidst the deteriorating law and order situation in the national capital, senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh slammed the BJP for turning Delhi into a hub of lawlessness, where gang wars, assaults on women, and brutal murders have become routine.
He pointed out that instead of addressing the city’s deteriorating law and order, BJP leaders are mobilising mobs to target Arvind Kejriwal when he visits to console the targets of gang violence which has perpetrated under BJP’s watch.
In a video message, senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh stated that the BJP has completely ruined the law and order situation in Delhi. This is the national capital, home to foreign diplomats, parliamentarians, ministers, the Prime Minister, and the Chief Minister. It is a city visited by people from across the country and the world. Yet today, Delhi’s streets are witnessing gang wars. Businesspersons are being shot at for extortion. Women are being dragged on roads and assaulted in the same Delhi. There are incidents of gang rapes.
The AAP MP stated that in Nangloi, a 41-year-old man was brutally stabbed to death. When AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal visits to offer his condolences, a BJP MP shows up with his gang to unleash violence and intimidation. BJP MP Yogender Chandolia, along with BJP workers, gathers a mob to create chaos and target Arvind Kejriwal. This is the state of affairs.
“On one hand, the BJP is vested in worsening the law and order situation in Delhi, and is unable to stop crime. On the other hand, when Arvind Kejriwal goes to express his sympathies, BJP is protesting against him, and plotting attacks on him,” he added.
The AAP MP emphasised that the people of Delhi are watching all of this, and they will respond at the right time. Delhiites will stand with Arvind Kejriwal against this deteriorating law and order situation. Today, I gave a notice in the House to raise this issue, and we will continue this fight, both on the streets and in the Parliament.
