The BJP, which tricked an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) councilor into joining its party three days ago, got a big blow on Thursday as Councillor Ram Chander from Ward No. 28, who left the AAP after being misled by the BJP, returned to his party.
Ram Chander has also been an MLA from Bawana Assembly and is currently a councilor from the AAP. On his homecoming, Councillor Ram Chander said that he realized his wrong decision and met senior leaders of the AAP, including former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Members of Parliament Sanjay Singh and Dr. Sandeep Pathak and expressed his desire to return to his family. On Thursday, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh and Dr. Sandeep Pathak re-inducted Ram Chander along with his supporters into the Aam Aadmi Party family.
Returning to his party, Councillor Ram Chander said that joining the BJP was his big mistake, but now he wants to return to his family and correct this mistake.
Welcoming the Councillor back into the party fold, Manish Sisodia tweeted on ‘X’: I met old Aam Aadmi Party colleague and former Bawana Vidhan Sabha MLA Ram Chander . Today he has returned to his Aam Aadmi family.”
It was a homecoming for Ram Chander after he quit the BJP today to return to the AAP. “I am Ram Chander, a small soldier of the Aam Aadmi Party. I had taken a wrong decision, but I have returned to my family again. Last night, our Chief Minister (Arvind Kejriwal) came in my dream and reprimanded me saying that Ram Chander get up and go and meet Manish (Sisodia) , Gopal Rai , Sandeep (Pathak) and all the leaders; go and meet your workers in the area and work. So, I will never stay away from the Aam Aadmi Party because of CM saheb’s words. I am taking an oath today that the way I was misled by some people, I will never come under their influence in future,” he said in the presence of Manish Sisodia and other senior leaders of the party.
