Delhi’s collapsing law and order has once again been laid bare. Following the daylight shooting and murder of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s committed ‘karyakarta’ (worker) Rachna Yadav right outside her home in Shalimar Bagh, the Assembly constituency of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the party has launched a sharp attack on the BJP government. AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj, along with several senior leaders, have strongly condemned this heart-wrenching incident under the watch of so-called ‘four-engine’ BJP government and demanded the strictest possible action by the Delhi Police against those responsible.
The Aam Aadmi Party said that this is a heartbreaking and shameful incident. “In Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s Assembly constituency of Shalimar Bagh, party ‘karyakarta’ Rachna Yadav was brutally shot dead in broad daylight right outside her home. This incident not only exposes the complete failure of law and order but also raises serious questions about women’s safety. Such a heinous crime occurring in the Chief Minister’s own constituency is absolutely unacceptable. The culprits must be given the strictest possible punishment,” AAP asserted.
AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal took to X and stated, “The situation in Delhi has deteriorated to such an extent that no one is safe anymore. This crime in the Chief Minister’s own Assembly constituency is proof of the BJP government’s failure and the complete collapse of law and order. This incident is extremely condemnable and unacceptable. I express my deepest condolences to the family of Aam Aadmi Party’s courageous ‘karyakarta’ Rachna Yadav ji. May God grant peace to the departed soul.”
Meanwhile, AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj said on X, “In Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s constituency of Shalimar Bagh, just 400 metres from her residence, RWA President Rachna Yadav was shot dead in broad daylight. One can imagine the condition of law and order under the four-engine BJP government.”
Former AAP MLA Ajesh Yadav wrote on X, “This is a shameful and heartbreaking incident. Our sister, Aam Aadmi Party ‘karyakarta’ Rachna Yadav ji, a resident of Bhalswa village in the Badli Assembly constituency, who was living in Shalimar Bagh, Delhi, was brutally shot dead in broad daylight right outside her home yesterday. May God grant peace to the departed soul.”
On the other hand, former MLA Vinay Mishra said, “This is a very sad and shameful incident. Aam Aadmi Party’s dedicated ‘karyakarta’, President of the Women’s Wing from Shalimar Bagh Ward–56, Rachna Yadav, was brutally shot dead in broad daylight right outside her own house. This not only raises serious questions about law and order but also creates deep concern regarding women’s safety. Even now, the killers are out of police custody, which is extremely condemnable and worrying. Such a heinous crime in the Chief Minister’s ward is completely unacceptable. The culprits must be arrested immediately and given the strictest punishment. May God grant peace to the departed soul and give strength to the grieving family to endure this unbearable loss.”
Meanwhile, AAP Councillor Jalaj Chaudhary stated, “Rachna Yadav, President of Shalimar Bagh BC Block and a party ‘karyakarta’, is no longer among us. A murder in broad daylight in the national capital Delhi raises serious questions about law and order.”
