AAP Delhi Convenor and Cabinet Minister Gopal Rai addressed a Jansabha in Mustafabad, urging support for the party. He called out the BJP on their continuous conspiracies to win the election but asserted that Delhiites would defeat them once again, ensuring another sweeping victory for AAP.
Just like last time, he said, Delhi will reject BJP’s tactics and re-elect Arvind Kejriwal with a massive mandate. Highlighting Delhi’s 24-hour free electricity, he pointed out that states like Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh generate power but still face outages despite BJP’s double-engine government. He said Delhi’s people would vote for AAP to keep free electricity, water, education, healthcare, and women’s free bus travel intact.
AAP’s Delhi State Convenor and senior leader Gopal Rai said that the night before an election is often called the “night of slaughter,” but given the BJP’s conspiracies, Mustafabad is facing three such nights this time. “We must defeat their plot. Five years ago, the people of Delhi rejected BJP’s schemes and gave a historic mandate to Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP government. Just as Delhi created history by electing him with a massive majority, AAP has also made history by doing remarkable work for Delhiites. This time, too, Delhi will script history by giving AAP another landslide victory.”
Gopal Rai said that since independence, many governments have come and gone, but no one has worked for the common man as much as Arvind Kejriwal. “No government in this country has done this much, nor do they have the courage to do so. Before Arvind Kejriwal’s government, Delhi had two different realities—while the Prime Minister, ministers, and Chief Ministers had 24-hour electricity, ordinary citizens suffered 10-12 hour power cuts. But after Delhiites voted for Arvind Kejriwal, every household now gets uninterrupted electricity just like the Prime Minister’s residence.”
The senior AAP leader said that Delhi does not produce electricity but buys it from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. “Despite this, Delhi enjoys 24-hour electricity, whereas these three states, all ruled by BJP’s double-engine government, still face power cuts. In BJP-ruled states, people suffer from frequent blackouts and inflated bills, but in Delhi, under Arvind Kejriwal’s government, electricity is free and uninterrupted. For the first time in India, Delhiites have seen zero electricity and water bills, government schools outperforming private ones, and Mohalla Clinics providing free check-ups and treatment. Delhi became the first state to offer free bus travel for women and free pilgrimage for the elderly.”
