The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has hit out sharply at the BJP for spreading lies and rumours over Chandigarh’s Kothi Number 50, calling it a desperate distraction from Punjab’s real issues. After Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann presented proof that the Kothi is the official CM Camp Office, senior AAP leaders — including Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia, Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj, MP Sanjay Singh, and Delhi Assembly Leader of Opposition (LoP) Atishi — launched a scathing attack on the BJP.
AAP’s Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia took to X and stated, “BJP leaders and their cronies must watch Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s video, and if they have the courage, respond to his words. The Bhagwant Mann government has launched a war against drugs, ensured honest job recruitments, and worked tirelessly for farmers, traders, youth, sportspersons, women, and flood-affected citizens — from curbing corruption to ushering in an education revolution.”
Challenging the BJP, Manish Sisodia stated, “I dare BJP leaders to name even one state where their government has achieved ten percent of what the Bhagwant Mann government has done in just three and a half years. They won’t be able to. That’s why they’ve started another ‘manohar katha’ about which hotel Arvind Kejriwal stayed in, which guest house he used, which room he slept in, or even which bathroom he went to. They’ve unleashed their cronies to spread such nonsense.”
On the other hand, AAP Delhi Unit President Saurabh Bharadwaj wrote on X, “Instead of addressing Punjab’s real problems, the BJP is busy spreading lies. The ‘House Number 50’ they’re shouting about is the official CM Camp Office, the same one used by every previous government. If BJP leaders really want to see Sheesh Mahal, they should visit Captain Amarinder Singh’s Siswan Palace, Sukhbir Badal’s Sukh Vilas resort, or their own glass palace, the BJP headquarters in Delhi. The BJP must stop misleading the people of Punjab and playing cheap politics of lies.”
Meanwhile, senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said, “BJP’s name is ‘Bhartiya Jhuthha Party’. Their only job is to spread lies day and night. The country must stay alert to such liars and deceivers. Those who can build fake ghats will have no trouble building fake bungalows.”
Whereas, senior AAP leader and Delhi Assembly LoP Atishi said, “BJP has never cared about people’s real issues. Now, in Punjab too, it is spreading lies and misinformation to mislead citizens. The party is openly lying about the Chandigarh Camp Office issue. Bhagwant Mann sahab has clearly and boldly presented the truth. Everyone should listen to him and know the reality behind BJP’s falsehoods.”
AAP National Media In-charge Anurag Dhanda stated, “BJP’s only goal is to distract people from real issues. To do that, it has crossed all limits of spreading lies. Today, yet another balloon of BJP’s lies has burst. Its leaders should apologise.”
AAP Chief Spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar said, “When the BJP leader and former Chief Minister’s Pakistani female friend used to stay with him at the CM residence, BJP had no problem. But now, when guests of the sitting Chief Minister stay at the Camp Office even for a single day, the party gets agitated. If BJP has any courage, it should answer Bhagwant Mann ji’s questions.”
