The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) launched a sharp attack on the BJP on Monday, calling it out for conspiring to defame AAP leaders with false allegations. Senior AAP leader and MP Sanjay Singh highlighted that BJP Union Minister Hardeep Puri himself admitted to the central government settling Rohingyas in Delhi’s Bakkarwala. Despite this, BJP leaders Smriti Irani and Sudhanshu Trivedi falsely accused AAP MLAs Mohinder Goyal and Jai Bhagwan Upkar of involvement in issuing Aadhaar cards to Bangladeshis, even though Delhi Police has given AAP a clean chit. Notably, defamation cases will be filed against both leaders.AAP senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh underscored that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been in power at the center for the past ten and a half years. He remarked, “For over ten years and eight months, Amit Shah has served as the Home Minister, preceded by another BJP Home Minister. Throughout this period, the BJP government, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, has held office.”He further continued, “The Prime Minister, the Home Minister, and the Foreign Minister have all been from the BJP during this period. And throughout this time, BJP leaders have been settling Bangladeshi immigrants across the country. For their electoral gains, they betrayed Bharat Mata, committed treason against the nation, and deceived the country.”Sanjay Singh stated that for the past ten years and eight months, BJP leaders have been settling Bangladeshi immigrants across various parts of the country, compromising the nation’s border security and enabling the settlement of Bangladeshi infiltrators and Rohingyas. He questioned, “I want to ask Narendra Modi: today, the states bordering Bangladesh—whose responsibility is it to secure these borders? It is Amit Shah’s responsibility!”He further questioned the central government, “How did Bangladeshis manage to enter Delhi by crossing Bengal, Assam, Tripura, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh? How did Rohingyas reach Delhi? And in the last ten years and eight months, how many Bangladeshi infiltrators have you sent back to Bangladesh?Sanjay Singh said that Today, the entire country must know about BJP’s betrayal. He said, “To secure a contract worth thousands of crores for one of their friends, Adani, in Bangladesh, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah compromised the security of Bharat Mata. BJP leaders have committed treason against the nation.”Sanjay Singh strongly criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for facilitating the entry of Bangladeshi infiltrators by opening India’s borders. He stated, “I want to ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi: after stealing electricity from Jharkhand and India, are you lighting up the homes of Bangladeshis who are oppressing Hindus?”He further questioned the Prime Minister, asking if his “friend” Adani is profiting by earning thousands of crores through electricity stolen from Jharkhand and sold to Bangladesh. Targeting PM Narendra Modi directly, Sanjay Singh said, “You question others, but today I want to ask the Prime Minister of this country: where is Sheikh Hasina, the leader of the Rohingyas and Bangladeshis?”Sanjay Singh asserted that the Prime Minister should be the first to face questioning. He demanded, “Tell the country—where has Narendra Modi hidden Sheikh Hasina, the leader of the Rohingyas and Bangladeshis? Where have you settled her? The entire country deserves to know. There must be an inquiry into her whereabouts.”Referring to a tweet by Hardeep Puri on August 17, 2022, which claimed that Bangladeshi infiltrators and Rohingyas were being settled in the Bakkarwala EWS Colony, Sanjay Singh questioned, “How many times has the Delhi Police or investigative agencies questioned Hardeep Puri about this? Question Hardeep Puri first!”Criticizing the BJP’s recent actions, Sanjay Singh said, “For the past two days, the BJP has been putting on a drama, indulging in theatrics. This is a party that performs a ‘disco dance’ over its own sins. They commit sins, betray the nation, and then dance and celebrate their wrongdoings. After committing crimes and betraying the country, they have the audacity to question others!”“They go to Jharkhand, raise the issue of Bangladeshi infiltrators, and defame Hemant Soren’s government. They go to Maharashtra, raise the issue of Bangladeshi infiltrators, and defame Uddhav Thackeray’s government. Wherever there are opposition governments, they will go, shout about Bangladeshi infiltrators, and create a ruckus,” stated Sanjay Singh. He continued, “But for the past ten and a half years, your government has been in power. In all this time, you haven’t expelled even a single Bangladeshi infiltrator. Instead, you are the ones settling them. And now you’re celebrating your sins by performing a ‘disco dance’ after betraying the country. You have stabbed Bharat Mata in the back and are dancing over it.”Sanjay Singh stated that a recent report by a national TV channel revealed how Bangladeshi infiltrators are entering India by crossing borders under the watch of Home Minister Amit Shah. Addressing the issue, he said, “Today, I stand before you to expose the BJP’s two-day-long ‘disco dance’ and their web of lies.”He further stated, “Our MLAs are being defamed. Bangladeshis were settled by Hardeep Puri, and it is Narendra Modi himself who has settled Sheikh Hasina, the leader of Bangladeshi infiltrators. Meanwhile, his friend Adani is receiving contracts worth thousands of crores for supplying electricity to Bangladesh. And yet, they have the audacity to question the Aam Aadmi Party!”Sanjay Singh went on to claim that a deep conspiracy has been orchestrated against the Aam Aadmi Party. After this, Sanjay Singh showed a video of the Delhi Police, in which it is clearly visible that a Delhi Police officer tells the media that the Aam Aadmi Party has no link with Bangladeshi infiltrators.Sanjay Singh further stated that the BJP was distressed by the statement of this police officer, realizing that their conspiracy had failed. “They couldn’t do anything. How will they continue their drama now? But we will not let their drama unfold in Delhi,” he said.Sanjay Singh stated that two senior BJP leaders, Smriti Irani and Sudhanshu Trivedi, held a press conference accusing AAP MLAs Mohinder Goyal and Jai Bhagwan Upkar of helping Bangladeshi nationals obtain Aadhaar cards. “This is a serious allegation,” Sanjay Singh remarked. “However, Mohinder Goyal did not receive a notice as an accused but as a witness. This pertains to the Sangam Vihar police station case. Mohinder Goyal was served his first notice on January 11 at 5:16 PM, asking him to reach Sangam Vihar from Rithala by 5:30 PM. At the time, he was engaged in election campaigning,” he said. “If this is not a BJP conspiracy, then what is it? The notice reached BJP leaders even before it was served to Mohinder Goyal. This clearly means the notice was prepared at the BJP office,” Sanjay Singh concluded.Sanjay Singh said that Mohinder Goyal received a second notice on Sunday around 1 PM, asking him to appear at 5:30 PM the same day. When Mohinder Goyal called the police, they initially gave him a time of 2 PM on Monday, which was later changed to 4 PM.“The same police, who were in such a hurry to issue a notice at 5:16 PM and summon him by 5:30 PM, suddenly became flexible when Mohinder Goyal contacted them on Sunday. First, they gave him 2 PM on Monday, and then changed it to 4 PM,” Sanjay Singh pointed out.He further added, “I want to tell the Delhi Police not to become part of this BJP conspiracy and drama. This matter will now go to the courts. The two BJP leaders who tried to defame Mohinder Goyal by calling him an accused will face a defamation case filed by him.”Sanjay Singh called out the BJP for targeting Dalits, marginalized communities, and people from Purvanchal in his party. “This behavior is ingrained in BJP’s DNA. Their leaders even mentioned Jai Bhagwan Upkar’s name, though he hasn’t received any notice. I will appeal to the Election Commission of India to ensure fair elections in Delhi. The BJP is trying to fight the elections by spreading hatred, covering up their sins, and defaming the Aam Aadmi Party,” he said.Sanjay Singh reiterated that the Delhi Police had clearly stated there was no connection between the Aam Aadmi Party and Bangladeshi infiltrators. “After that, the BJP fabricated fake documents. I am directly accusing BJP of this,” he concluded.During this time, AAP MLA Mohinder Goyal said that elections are underway in Delhi, and it seems the people are ready to give all 70 seats to the Aam Aadmi Party. “This has left the BJP rattled. Their work is to spread hatred in the country. On January 11, I was served a notice, but this notice was circulated in the media even before it reached me. The BJP’s X handle and other social media pages also had the notice posted beforehand,” he said.Mohinder Goyal further added, “It seems this notice was prepared inside the BJP headquarters to convey a false message that Arvind Kejriwal is settling Bangladeshis in the country. But Arvind Kejriwal does not do that. He is a patriot, and that is why he has formed the government in Delhi three consecutive times, and he will form it a fourth time as well.”Mohinder Goyal stated that while he has received a notice from the Delhi Police, he plans to file a defamation case against BJP leaders Smriti Irani and Sudhanshu Trivedi. “The allegations they have made are very unfortunate. Wherever the BJP faces an opposition government, they make such baseless accusations. We are all patriots, and the public is already responding to these lies from the BJP. I hope the truth behind all these false claims will be revealed soon,” Mohinder Goyal concluded.
