Making a sensational disclosure based on an audiotape submitted with an affidavit to the judicial commission in the Manipur riots case, AAP chief spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar on Tuesday said that Manipur was burnt as part of a conspiracy and that is why Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh was not removed from his post.
There are two voices in the audiotape. One of which is said to be of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the other of Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh. In the audiotape, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is telling Chief Minister N. Biren Singh not to use bombs. However, the chief minister instructs the officers to use bombs secretly.
Priyanka Kakkar said that in Manipur, the wife of a Kargil warrior was paraded naked and raped. Regarding this incident, the Chief Minister says that the mob had sent these women home after dressing them. He is also heard saying that what is the proof that these women have been raped?
Addressing the media persons here today, AAP chief spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar said riots started in Manipur on May 3, 2023, thousands of houses have been burnt there, people have been killed, cases of rape and molestation have taken place between the two communities. Even after more than a year, the double-engine government there has not been able to stop it. When the demand for the resignation of N. Biren Singh, Chief Minister of Manipur, started rising because he was a completely incompetent Chief Minister, Amit Shah ji said on the floor of the House that we are getting all kinds of cooperation from him, so his resignation is not being taken. “What kind of cooperation was this and why has he not been removed till now. The answer to that question has probably come out in those tapes which have been presented before a judicial commission. These tapes have been presented along with the affidavit,” she said.
While playing the audiotape, Priyanka Kakkar said this is the voice of N. Biren Singh and listen to what he is saying while quoting Amit Shah. “It should not be done openly.”
Priyanka Kakkar played the tape during the press conference for the media. In the tape, CM N Biren Singh is laughingly telling that Amit Shah said to him, ‘Hey! Biren you throw bombs, don’t use them,’ while Biren Singh said that he will use it secretly.
She said instead of making peace between the two communities, the Chief Minister of Manipur is giving instructions that the bombs have to be used secretly. “Is this the reason that riots have not been controlled there till now, peace has not been established, Prime Minister Modi has not gone to Manipur even once till now, even during the campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections, the chief campaigner did not go to Manipur. Is this the reason, Amit Shah ji talking about this cooperation on the floor of the house due to which the resignation of N. Biren Singh has not been taken,” she said.
The AAP chief spokesperson said you all must be aware of that viral video from Manipur in which the wife of a Kargil warrior was paraded naked with her private parts being touched and after parading her, she was raped, she was tortured. Priyanka Kakkar said N Biren Singh was caught on tape saying this: “Then the case of two women paraded naked, how badly we were shamed. Why didn’t even one group come out and assert? It was a bit difficult for me to speak out then. Even though I started speaking it out now. They should have said where is the proof, how can you say that they were raped? The brother and the uncle were killed by a mob of 10,000 to 20,000 people. We should have said that it is we who have saved them from the mob. We should have taken the credit of saving them, clothing them and sending them home. We were shamed worldwide with this incident. I told him that something should be done about this through the press.”
The senior AAP leader further said that similarly Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had passed an order to withdraw the case against Swami Chinmayanand, accused of raping a minor. The BJP government stood with the Kathua rape accused and Brijbhushan Sharan Singh. The BJP gave ticket to Prajwal Revanna and Modi ji himself sought votes for him. The BJP’s Balesh Dhankar (former head of Overseas Friends of the BJP in Australia), who was called the worst rapist of the century, why are all these people associated with the BJP? Where do they get this power from? When they will get protection from the top, will it not boost their morale?
Priyanka Kakkar said shocking information is continuously coming out in the Manipur case. Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister N Biren Singh should answer why the chief minister has not been removed from his post till now? “What is the compulsion of the BJP? Violence has been going on in Manipur for more than a year, and now the government there should be dismissed. We should think whether our daughters will be safe under the rule of such people. This is extremely shameful,” she concluded.
