In view of the Delhi Assembly elections scheduled to be held early next year, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has started gearing up in right earnest. To enhance the dialogue with the people of Delhi, the party will launch “Aapka Vidhayak-Aapke Dwar” campaign from September 1 besides the continuation of its various ongoing programmes.
The decision was taken on Monday at the high-level meeting of senior party leaders chaired by senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. In the meeting, all the leaders expressed their views, and a strategy was made to break all the records in the assembly elections.
Talking to the media persons after the meeting, AAP National General Secretary (Organisation) Dr Sandeep Pathak said today, a detailed discussion was held in the context of Delhi elections. The political context, governance and all other things related to Delhi were discussed in detail about each assembly segment and there was also a discussion about overall politics.
Talking about the huge public response to Manish Sisodia’s padyatra (march), Dr Sandeep Pathak said, “Manish ji’s ongoing padayatra is making a very positive difference. Wherever Manish Sisodia ji is going, people are coming in large numbers, and they are saying that injustice is being done to you. The BJP has done injustice to you and the people of entire Delhi are standing with the Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal ji with full strength. So, we will continue this padayatra in the coming times.”
The AAP National General Secretary (Organisation) said along with Manish Sisodia’s padyatra, we will formally intensify the campaign. “From 1st September, we will start the “Aapka Vidhayak-Aapke Dwar” campaign in Delhi, in which our MLAs will go to all the mandal and booth levels and hold meetings there. They will discuss the political situation, discuss the work (done by the AAP government) and expose the way the Bharatiya Janata Party is conspiring against the people of Delhi. So, this campaign will start from 1st September and gradually the intensity of the campaign will increase,” he said.
Dr Sandeep Pathak said that the AAP draws its strength from the people. “You go and ask the people, they will tell you what the strength of the Aam Aadmi Party is,” he said.
Criticising the Bharatiya Janata Party for employing unethical means to grab power, Dr Sandeep Pathak said the politics of the BJP is that before the elections, they win by conspiring and doing dirty politics and if they lose the elections, then after that their only work is how to break, how to buy.
He said this is the path of struggle, all the struggling people are connected, and the BJP will keep doing its work. “But this is not going to benefit them, instead it will harm them. And it is written in BJP’s destiny that it has seen its peak, after this it will slowly decline. Our strength is from the people and the work we have done for them and the trust the people have in us,” the AAP National General Secretary (Organisation) said.
Dr Sandeep Pathak said the padyatra will continue. Apart from this, there are many other campaigns which will be done on foot, he added.
