During a padyatra in Jangpura, senior AAP leader and former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia received a warm public welcome, with residents hailing AAP’s efforts in transforming Delhi’s schools, electricity, and health services.
The Ex-Deputy Chief Minister highlighted the revolution in education under his and Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership, cautioning that if they are not re-elected, rival parties will destroy the progress made in Delhi’s education system. The public, lauding the improved future for their children, vowed to ensure AAP’s victory. During this, AAP MLA Praveen Kumar and other senior leaders were present.
While directly interacting with the public during a ‘padyatra’ in Jangpura assembly constituency, Senior AAP leader and Former Deputy CM of Delhi, Manish Sisodia said that everyone knows Arvind Kejriwal has resigned from CM’s post. He didn’t resign because he did something dishonest, but because the BJP falsely accused him. When BJP’s false accusations reached the Apex Court, the court, while granting me bail, said that this case wouldn’t stand even two questions when it goes to the trial court.
“Despite this, I was kept in jail for 17 months and Arvind Kejriwal for 6 months. The Supreme Court has already freed us to come back and work for Delhiites, but even then, he resigned because he wants the people of Delhi to reaffirm their trust in his honesty. Delhiites chose him because of his honesty afterall,” he added.
Manish Sisodia stated that Arvind Kejriwal has sent a message to everyone that no matter what the BJP says, if you believe he is honest, then make him Chief Minister again. “This time, your stamp, your vote, will be based on whether you consider Arvind Kejriwal to be honest or not. Arvind Kejriwal was an IRS officer. He left his job and started working in ‘jhuggis’. He worked for electricity for the poor and fought for their rights. He left his job for honesty. But he couldn’t tolerate the BJP’s accusations. He said that only if the public believes that he is honest will he sit in the Chief Minister’s chair, otherwise, he won’t,” added Manish Sisodia.
Manish Sisodia further stated, “I was a journalist. I too left my job and joined politics so that I can do politics honestly and build good schools for the children of the country, arrange for good education for them. I too was slandered. I did not leave my job and come here to earn money. I came here to work honestly for the education of children. I am also hurt by these accusations. I have spent 17 months in jail, but I worked honestly.”
He said that if the people of Delhi feel that I am honest and he has worked honestly on schools, then vote for me. I will work as the Education Minister again. Arvind Kejriwal told me that he will not sit on the Chief Minister’s chair, so I too said that I too will not sit on the Education Minister’s chair. Now, I too will sit on the Education Minister’s chair again only when the people of Delhi will stamp that Manish Sisodia is honest.
Manish Sisodia appealed to the public and said, “If you consider me honest, if you believe that I have worked for your children and your future and I will again work for the future of your children, then vote for me again and send me to power this time. I will work hard for the future of your children for five years. Now the question has come to my honesty. You have to decide whether I am honest or not. You have to tell whether I have been dishonest or I am honest.”
“The people of Delhi know how Arvind Kejriwal and I have worked for 8-10 years to improve the schools. Today the future of their children is improving. If Arvind Kejriwal does not become the Chief Minister or I do not become the Education Minister, then other parties will ruin the future of the children. They will ruin the schools and colleges of Delhi. Therefore, it is important that Arvind Kejriwal becomes the Chief Minister again,” asserted Manish Sisodia.
Driver becomes emotional after meeting Manish Sisodia
During this time, a driver in Jangpura became emotional after meeting Manish Sisodia. He said that I am a driver by profession. My child is getting a good education in a government school in Delhi. Their future is made bright. You have built good schools. On this, Manish Sisodia said that his children study in a government school. As soon as he came to know that I am coming here, he came out of his house and hugged me and started crying. He said that our children’s life is made, you have built good schools.
Manish Sisodia receives a lot of love and blessings from the people
During the padyatra, Manish Sisodia got a lot of love and blessings from the local people. People welcomed him with flower showers and drums. Manish Sisodia, along with local MLA Praveen Kumar, moved forward on the roads and talked to all the shopkeepers, hawkers, women, children and the elderly one by one and inquired about their well-being. During this, many people shook hands with him and took selfies with their beloved leader.

During the padyatra, people said that no matter who comes, we will make the AAP win. You have improved our schools. Many school children also came to meet him with posters of Manish Sisodia. The children thanked Manish Sisodia by giving him a rose flower for improving education in schools. Many children also took autographs from him. One child made a picture of Shivaji Maharaj and presented it to him.
