The Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) has launched a fierce attack on the BJP, charging it with orchestrating the demolition of a temple in Mayur Vihar Phase 2, Delhi. The senior AAP leader and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Delhi Assembly, Atishi, lambasted the BJP’s “double-engine government” for first ordering the demolition, deploying bulldozers and police, and then feigning ignorance when faced with public outrage. “If BJP didn’t send them, then who did?” she challenged, exposing BJP’s blatant attempt to deceive Delhiites.
Taking a sharp dig at the BJP over the temple demolition issue, senior AAP leader and Delhi Assembly LoP Atishi said, “First, the BJP orders the demolition of temples. Then, it sends its police. Then, it deploys its DDA bulldozers. But when people take to the streets in protest, they pretend innocence, saying, ‘No, no, we didn’t do it. We were trying to stop it’.”
Exposing BJP’s hypocrisy, the Delhi Assembly LoP questioned, “Whose police was there? BJP’s. Whose CRPF was deployed? BJP’s. Whose bulldozers were sent? BJP’s. It is crystal clear that the conspiracy to demolish the temple was solely and entirely orchestrated by the BJP. But when their conspiracy was exposed before the people of Delhi, they resorted to theatrics and lies.”
“They should at least answer—who sent the police? Who sent the CRPF? Who ordered the bulldozers? They now have a double-engine government—the DDA, police, and PWD all under their control. So who exactly ordered the demolition? Who sent the bulldozers to tear down the temple? This is BJP’s conspiracy, and now the people of Delhi have uncovered their truth,” asserted Atishi.
