AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal met the newly elected MLAs of Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday. He instructed all the MLAs to serve the public with full commitment. After the meeting, Senior AAP Leader and MLA-elect Atishi reaffirmed the party’s commitment to serving the people and holding the BJP government accountable. She stated that Arvind Kejriwal has instructed AAP’s newly elected 22 MLAs to prioritize public welfare and address grievances in their constituencies. Atishi also emphasized that AAP will act as a responsible opposition, ensuring that the BJP fulfills its promises, including the ₹2,500 financial assistance for women and the continuation of key public welfare schemes.
Addressing the media, Atishi stated that AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal held a meeting with the newly elected 22 AAP MLAs, providing them with clear directives. She added, “He emphasized that these MLAs must serve the people in their respective constituencies and ensure that all public grievances are addressed effectively.”
Atishi further highlighted that the people have placed their trust in AAP by electing 22 MLAs. She added, “It is now the party’s responsibility to serve them and resolve their issues.” Additionally, she stressed that AAP will play the role of a responsible opposition, and added, “The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has formed the government, must be held accountable.”
She specifically mentioned the BJP’s commitment to passing a ₹2,500 financial assistance scheme for women in its first cabinet meeting, ensuring the amount reaches all eligible women in Delhi by March 8. Atishi further stated, “The AAP will ensure that the BJP fulfills this commitment. AAP will stand with every woman in Delhi to guarantee that the ₹2,500 is credited by March 8.”
Moreover, she asserted, “AAP will also make sure that the BJP does not obstruct or undo the developmental work accomplished by the Aam Aadmi Party over the past ten years.”
Additionally, Atishi stated, “We would like to remind the Bharatiya Janata Party that, as they promised, all Delhi residents will continue to receive free electricity up to 300 units, essential public services will remain intact, government schools will maintain their quality, Mohalla Clinics will continue providing free treatment, and all medical services in government hospitals will remain free.”
She further added, “We will hold the BJP accountable for these promises, whether it is ensuring ₹2,500 for women in Delhi or continuing the work initiated by the Aam Aadmi Party.”
Meanwhile, Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and MLA Sanjeev Jha stated that a meeting was held today with the party chief, Arvind Kejriwal, to discuss the future strategy. He reminded that the BJP had promised to approve a scheme granting ₹2,500 per month to every woman in Delhi during its first Cabinet meeting. “Our aim is to ensure that the BJP passes this proposal in its first Cabinet meeting and fulfills its promise. We are committed to holding the BJP accountable for the promises it has made,” Sanjeev Jha said.
Earlier on Sunday morning, Arvind Kejriwal held a meeting with senior party leaders. The meeting was attended by MP Sanjay Singh, AAP’s National General Secretary (Organization) and MP Dr. Sandeep Pathak, Delhi State Convenor Gopal Rai, and other key leaders. Discussions centered around future strategy, strengthening the party’s role as a strong opposition in Delhi, and putting pressure on the BJP to fulfill all its promises. Arvind Kejriwal urged all party leaders to remain united in serving the people of Delhi and addressing their concerns.
