Just a spell of light rain on Saturday night was enough to expose the complete collapse of Delhi’s infrastructure under BJP’s so-called ‘four-engine’ government. From ITO and Minto Road to Timarpur, Dhaula Kuan, and even the road to the airport—key areas of the capital were left waterlogged, with cars and buses stranded in flooded streets. While BJP leaders pose for photo-ops, Delhi drowns.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) released multiple videos on X showing the extent of the flooding, launching a direct attack on the BJP. AAP Delhi unit chief Saurabh Bharadwaj, Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Atishi, former Delhi Mayor Dr. Shelly Oberoi, AAP leader Adil Ahmad Khan, and former MLA Gulab Singh Yadav slammed the BJP’s failed governance, holding the four-engine administration squarely responsible for the mess.
The AAP posted a video from ITO, commenting: “When Delhiites woke up this morning, they found the city submerged. This is the result of the so-called four-engine government. A little rain and the roads are flooded. These waterlogged streets tell the true story of BJP’s broken-down four-engine government.”
In another video showing a car submerged in water, AAP remarked: “Just a little rain, and Delhi is underwater. Overnight rain has flooded several parts of the capital. Cars and buses are stuck underwater. At one underpass in Delhi Cantonment, a car and a bus were completely submerged. Now CM Rekha Gupta can visit the spot to take credit for this work.”
AAP also highlighted the situation at Minto Road: “Even a little rain caused waterlogging beneath Minto Bridge, where a car got submerged. Just a few days ago, CM Rekha Gupta and Minister Parvesh Verma came here for a photoshoot. They did nothing beyond clicking pictures—and this is the result.”
Videos from Dhaula Kuan and Chanakyapuri were also shared. “There’s not a single part of Delhi where BJP’s failed four-engine government hasn’t caused waterlogging. Even Chanakyapuri, one of the most VIP areas of Delhi, home to numerous embassies, was submerged after a light shower,” AAP stated.
The party further warned commuters about flooding on the road to the airport: “Caution! The road to Indira Gandhi International Airport is also heavily waterlogged. This critical route too exposes the truth of BJP’s four-engine government.”
AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj posted a series of videos on X, highlighting the city’s plight. “This is BJP’s four-engine rule in Delhi: tap water in every house, and floodwater on every road,” he said sarcastically. Sharing photos of Timarpur Road under water, he noted: “Here’s the condition of Timarpur under the four-engine government: Prime Minister—BJP, LG—BJP, Chief Minister—BJP, MCD Mayor—BJP, NDMC—BJP, and most importantly, all officials under BJP control. Yet this is the state of Delhi.”
Saurabh Bharadwaj also posted a photo from a recent CM meeting and commented: “Delhi is completely waterlogged, yet Minister Parvesh Verma—who boasted of suspending 335 officials—is missing. Even in the Cabinet photo four days ago, Minister Sahib Singh Verma was absent. For days now, Delhi has been reeling under a water crisis, and yet the ministers are nowhere to be seen. CM Rekha Gupta must explain where is her PWD and Water Minister Mr Parvesh Verma ?.”
Sharing a video posted by Delhi Traffic Police on X, Saurabh Bharadwaj wrote: “Mundka is parental village of PWD Minister Parvesh Verma. Can BJP tell us, where is he ?”
Delhi Assembly LoP Atishi also posted a video after Saturday night’s rain, stating: “This is what happens to Delhi after just one spell of rain under the BJP’s four-engine government.” Sharing visuals from under Minto Bridge, she said: “A car submerged after light rain. It’s crystal clear—this four-engine government has failed.”
Atishi also shared a video from ITO, noting that the waterlogging happened right outside the PWD headquarters. “Where is PWD Minister Parvesh Verma hiding?” she asked. She further posted visuals from Subroto Park, Ravidas Marg, Delhi Cantonment, IGI Airport, and Rohtak Road, commenting: “Take a look—this is the wonder of BJP’s four-engine government.”
Other senior AAP leaders, including former Delhi State President and MLA Gopal Rai, former Mayor Shelly Oberoi, leader Adil Ahmad Khan, and former MLA Gulab Singh Yadav, also shared videos of the severe waterlogging across Delhi, mounting sharp criticism of the BJP’s failure to manage even basic civic amenities in the capital.
