The Aam Aadmi Party has sharply criticised the BJP’s politics around Chhath Ghat in Delhi. Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh stated that while Arvind Kejriwal supports Purvanchal by providing the best possible facilities for Chhath Puja, BJP leaders insult people from Bihar and UP. He also mentioned how BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri abused and assaulted a Purvanchali from his own party.
Sanjay Singh said, “The BJP is against Chhath; its councillors demolished a Chhath Ghat in Greater Kailash. The BJP has no answer to how many ghats were previously available for Chhath Puja in Delhi and how many exist now. Delhi’s AAP government will once again celebrate Chhath Puja properly with the people of UP, Bihar, and Purvanchal.”
He further stated, “BJP leaders abuse people from UP and Bihar and insult those from Purvanchal. BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri had abused and beaten a Purvanchal official. How many Chhath Ghats were there in Delhi earlier, and how many exist today? BJP has no answer regarding the facilities available at Chhath Ghats. A BJP councillor demolished Chhathi Maiya’s Ghat in Greater Kailash. The same people who demolished the Ghat are now talking about Chhath Puja. I sat in protest the entire day, and only then was the Ghat saved.”
Sanjay Singh said that Arvind Kejriwal has consistently provided all necessary facilities for Chhath Puja in Delhi and ensured its grand celebration . He added, “This time the Aam Aadmi Party government will fully cooperate with the people of Delhi, UP-Bihar and Purvanchal in organizing the grand Chhath Puja and Chhath Puja will be completed in a good way.”
Even the court has now stated that the BJP government in Haryana is increasing pollution while the AAP government in Punjab is reducing it: Sanjay Singh
Sanjay Singh stated that the court is now recognizing that Haryana is contributing to rising pollution, while Punjab is reducing it. He added that the BJP and PM Modi have issues with the Aam Aadmi Party. He said, “They do not like us. They can send us to jail. They can file cases and use lathi charge. But why do they have so much enmity with the people of Delhi?”
Sanjay Singh questioned the Prime Minister, JP Nadda, and the BJP, asking whether the people of Delhi did not vote for them. He continued, “Seven BJP MPs have won; did they win out of thin air? The price they are paying for the victory of these seven MPs is that they are sending poisonous air to Delhi. The BJP-ruled Haryana government wants to see Delhi destroyed, and incidents of stubble burning have increased in Haryana.”
