AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh made an emphatic comeback to Parliament on Monday after an 11-month hiatus, fiercely criticizing the BJP government. The AAP Rajya Sabha MP pointed out the Central Government’s blatant misuse of the investigative agencies to falsely implicate CM Arvind Kejriwal in a fabricated liquor scam in the middle of the Lok Sabha elections while emphasizing that the real scam was orchestrated by the BJP, which accepted a ₹60 crore bribe through electoral bonds. The Senior AAP Leader highlighted that the trial court’s order, in granting CM Arvind Kejriwal bail, found no evidence against him, condemning the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) malicious actions.
In his address in Rajya Sabha, Senior AAP Leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said that CM Arvind Kejriwal was forcibly put in jail in the middle of the Lok Sabha elections. Whereas he worked for better education and health in Delhi. People were given free electricity-water and women were given free bus travel. CM Arvind Kejriwal did the best work in the entire country, but before the elections, he was implicated in a fake case of a so-called liquor scam and put in jail.
The AAP Rajya Sabha MP continued, stating, “The country should know that the real liquor scam was done by the BJP by taking a bribe of ₹60 crores from Sarath Reddy through electoral bonds. The trial court granted bail to CM Arvind Kejriwal after hearing all the arguments of the ED. It’s clearly mentioned in the order that Arvind Kejriwal is innocent. The ED has no evidence and it is working against Arvind Kejriwal with malice. It has no proof of a money trail. But even before the written order came, the ED went to the High Court and got a stay on the bail; this happened for the first time in the history of the country.”
He further added that the central government has given only ₹324 crore to Delhi in the last 9 years. There is an AAP government in Delhi. Therefore, the health minister, deputy chief minister and the chief minister have to be put in jail. Their (BJP) intention is not to help us in the development of Delhi. They have tried to stop all the schemes of Delhi like free electricity-water, pilgrimage scheme, home delivery of ration and Mohalla Clinics. Is it the job of the central government to stop the schemes of the state government? The central government has stopped about ₹8,000 crores of Punjab’s rural development and national health fund.
“The people of the country have given 240 seats to the BJP. A coalition government is running in the country. The opposition also has its role here. If the central government tries to eliminate the opposition parties by targeting them, then God brings those who try to eliminate others on the right path. PM Modi says that the corrupt will not be spared, but today all the corrupt people of the country are in his own party. The Prime Minister is not going to gain anything by putting Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in jail. Our party is not going to end by putting our leaders in jail. We will fight you and win,” MP Sanjay Singh affirmed.
During the motion of thanks on the President’s address in the Rajya Sabha, AAP MP Sanjay Singh said that this Lok Sabha election witnessed many incidents. During this election, opposition leaders were arrested and put in jail. Chief Ministers and ministers of states were put in jail for misusing investigative agencies like ED-CBI.
“In Maharashtra, Anil Deshmukh was kept in jail for 14 months and Sanjay Raut for 103 days but they were released due to lack of evidence. I was kept in jail for 6 months but the Supreme Court granted me bail. In this election, the language employed by the Prime Minister hit so low, to such a level that instead of talking about the country’s inflation, unemployment, farmers and ‘Agniveer’, PM Modi talked about Mughals, Mutton, Madrasa, Machhi (fish), and Mujra,” he stated.
Sanjay Singh said that the central government targeted opposition leaders across the country through investigation agencies. CM Hemant Soren has just got bail from the High Court. The Investigation agencies are being misused across the country, including Bihar, Maharashtra and Delhi. Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee used to say that politics should be done with a big heart, not with malice. Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain was put in jail in a false case. Opposition is necessary for the strengthening of India’s Constitution and democracy. There will be no benefit by eliminating it and putting opposition leaders in jail. The BJP was talking about crossing 400, but the public stopped them at 240 only. This is not a government with a clear majority. The public mandate has broken the arrogance of the BJP. The Agniveer Scheme brought in this ‘Amrit Kaal’ is a compromise with the security of the country, it should be withdrawn.
MP Sanjay Singh said that during the elections, the Prime Minister was saying that the INDIA alliance would distribute the property of the people of the country. But the central government has waived off ₹3,53,655 thousand crores of 43 companies in the name of bank settlement. The whole country should know for whom the government is working.
“Today, one paper after another is getting leaked in the country. The NEET paper was leaked. In the last few years, 70 papers have been leaked across the country, including Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Bihar. The future of the youth is being played with. Due to the paper leak, the lives of the 2 crore youth in the country have been ruined. Who is responsible for this? There should be an investigation of the officials of NTA who conduct the NEET exam. All the officials involved in this should be arrested and sent to jail and the NTA should be dissolved. Because whenever the NTA conducts the exam, the paper gets leaked,” Sanjay Singh asserted.
