The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today unmasked the BJP’s relentless campaign of lies aimed at tarnishing the reputation of AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal. As is clear today, the BJP, had resorted to baseless allegations about the presence of luxuries at the Chief Minister’s Residence of Delhi while simultaneously concealing the grand opulence of the Prime Minister’s residence—a ‘Rajmahal’ reportedly worth Rs. 2,700 crores. On Wednesday, Senior AAP Leaders MP Sanjay Singh and Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, accompanied by media representatives, attempted to inspect both the CM’s residence and the PM’s ‘Rajmahal’ to put an end to the BJP’s malicious narrative. However, the BJP responded not with transparency, but with barricades, police blockades, and an unmistakable fear of truth reaching the public. The Delhi Police, acting under what AAP leaders described as “orders from above,” barred entry to both locations, exposing the BJP’s unwillingness to let the nation see the reality behind its propaganda. Upon this, AAP’s National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal remarked on X, “I’ve heard the ‘Rajmahal’ even has a throne worth over Rs 150 crore.” The BJP’s obstructionism has only strengthened AAP’s resolve. “If there were no golden toilets, swimming pools, or mini-bars at the CM’s residence, the BJP’s falsehoods would be laid bare,” declared senior leader Manish Sisodia. Meanwhile, Sanjay Singh asserted that the BJP’s refusal to open the gates of the PM’s residence confirms the extravagant claims about its Rs. 2,700-crore price tag, with allegations of luxury chandeliers, costly carpets, and even the throne worth Rs. 150 crore. The Aam Aadmi Party has called out the BJP stating that in a democracy, public scrutiny is a right, not a privilege; AAP has thrown down the gauntlet, and now urges BJP to match its willingness for transparency. As promised, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Saurabh Bharadwaj arrived with the media at the CM’s residence, but police barricades blocked them. When asked for the reason, the police said they were acting on “orders from above.” Sanjay Singh insisted that only two people enter, but the police still refused, failing to provide a valid reason. Saurabh Bharadwaj explained that the visit was to show the media whether the BJP’s claims of a swimming pool, golden toilets, and a mini-bar were true, but police denied entry.Later, the leaders headed to the PM’s “Rajmahal” with the media but were again stopped by police en route. Despite questioning the block, the police failed to give satisfactory answers. After some arguments, Sanjay Singh and Saurabh Bharadwaj were sent back without being allowed near the PM’s residence. On this, AAP National Convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, took to social media platform X, saying, “I have heard that there is a throne in the ‘Rajmahal’ which is worth over 150 crore.”Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia wrote on X, “Every worker of the Bharatiya Jhutha Party should know what their self-proclaimed king’s Rajmahal (PM’s residence) looks like. The people of the country also need to see what million-rupee chandeliers, expensive carpets, and lakh-rupee pens look like. Those trying to defame Arvind Kejriwal should understand that we are truthful, honest, and have the courage to expose BJP’s lies before the public on the strength of this honesty. This is the challenge of the common man!”He further wrote, “The leaders of the Gaali-Galauch Party were continuously shouting that Arvind Kejriwal had built a swimming pool at the Chief Minister’s residence, installed gold toilets, and set up a mini bar. However, when Sanjay Singh and Saurabh Bharadwa moved forward with the media to expose these lies, the Gaali-Galauch Party, fearing the collapse of their false propaganda, used Delhi Police to block their path.”“The intent is clear—if the truth had come out before the media that Kejriwal had neither built a swimming pool, nor installed gold toilets, nor set up a mini bar, the Gaali-Galauch Party’s accusations would have been proven false. That’s why they had the police block the way,” added Manish Sisodia.Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh stated that the BJP’s false propaganda has been exposed today. It has been proven that the BJP is indeed the ‘Bharatiya Jhutha Party.’He said, “For months, BJP leaders have been shouting that the Delhi Chief Minister’s residence has a gold toilet, a swimming pool, and a mini bar. Today, I brought the media here, along with our minister Saurabh Bharadwaj. We invited the fourth pillar of democracy—the media—to see for themselves where this gold toilet, mini bar, and swimming pool are.”“But instead of transparency, we were met with water cannon buses deployed for just two people and a heavy police presence. Are we terrorists? I am a member of the country’s highest legislative body, and Saurabh Bharadwaj is a cabinet minister in the Delhi government. Why such a massive police deployment? Why are we being stopped? This proves that the BJP is lying,” asserted the AAP MP.Meanwhile, when stopped by the police outside the Prime Minister’s residence, Sanjay Singh said, “The BJP’s lies have been exposed to the entire country today. They used to say that the Chief Minister’s residence had a gold toilet, a mini-bar, and a swimming pool. We took the media there. Our minister, Saurabh Bharadwaj, and I both went there. But we were not allowed to go inside as the area was turned into a police camp.”Sanjay Singh continued, “We said, ‘Let’s go and see the Prime Minister’s Rajmahal, which cost Rs. 2700 crores.’ When we came here, they stopped us with a police camp. This means that our allegations are completely true.” He added, “In the Rajmahal, there are 6700 pairs of shoes, 5000 suits, a chandelier worth Rs. 200 crores, and carpets worth Rs. 300 crores, and they don’t want to show these. The key to the Chief Minister’s residence is with PWD, but here the Prime Minister resides. His house is open; he can show it to everyone.””If the BJP is carrying out this debate, then why are they not showing the Prime Minister’s residence? Why don’t they show PM Modi’s residence?” Sanjay Singh asked. He went on to say, “PM Modi travels in a plane worth Rs. 8400 crores. He uses pens worth Rs. 10-10 lakh. He changes suits three times a day. His convoy has six cars worth Rs. 12 crore each. The BJP doesn’t want to show this.”Sanjay Singh concluded, “It has been proven that the lies spread about the Chief Minister’s residence were a piece of propaganda by the BJP. And what we said about the Prime Minister’s Rajmahal, PM Modi and the BJP are not ready to show. These people have backed out. This means the entire situation is corrupt.”Outside the Chief Minister’s residence, Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said, “The BJP wanted everyone to believe that the Chief Minister’s residence has a luxury swimming pool, a mini-bar, and golden toilets. They used to send new videos and photos every day. Now, we have brought the media here ourselves. And now, the BJP is panicking. They’ve set up three layers of barricades, installed water-spraying sprinklers, and deployed DCPs and Additional DCPs. They’ve turned the Chief Minister’s residence into a border, just to keep the media out.Saurabh Bharadwaj continued, “Let them show us where the swimming pool is. The media can see for themselves where the bar is. Even we’d like to know. As for the golden toilets, we haven’t seen any, but if they exist, let’s find them. If they don’t, maybe we’ll look for them at the Prime Minister’s residence.”He further added, “The BJP alleges that the Chief Minister’s residence was built for Rs 33 crore. Meanwhile, reports suggest that the Prime Minister’s residence is being constructed at a cost of Rs 2,700 crore. So, let’s examine both the Chief Minister’s and the Prime Minister’s residences. We’ll show everything to the public, and they can decide. If the elections are to be based on residences, let the people see both and vote accordingly.”However, he asserted that we want elections to be fought on issues like electricity, water, education, healthcare, the Rs 2,100 Samman Rashi for women, free medical treatment for senior citizens, and the Rs 18,000 monthly Samman Rashi for Pujaris and Granthis. But the BJP insists elections should be about the Chief Minister’s residence. “We’ve made it clear that both the Chief Minister’s and the Prime Minister’s residences were built using public funds during the pandemic. We’ve come forward to show the Chief Minister’s residence, and now the BJP is nervous.”The Cabinet Minister asserted, “The BJP and its central government should be happy that we are willingly exposing ourselves by bringing everyone here. But instead, they are deploying guards and police forces. Why is the BJP panicking? Perhaps they are worried that they’ll then have to show the Prime Minister’s residence as well. Though there’s no reason to be nervous—it was built with public funds, after all.”He added that the BJP is now guarding the Chief Minister’s residence with their entire police force, water cannons, and three layers of barricades, as if it’s a fortress. Even when the Chief Minister used to live here, such tight security wasn’t in place. We’ve brought all the media along, so now the BJP should openly show the swimming pool, the mini-bar, and the golden toilet supposedly built here.“If the BJP’s police are hiding these things, it means their lies are beginning to unravel. The truth is, the keys to the Chief Minister’s residence are with the BJP, and they won’t hand them over. Because the moment they hand over the keys, the truth won’t just open the locks—it will expose the BJP’s falsehoods. That’s why the BJP will never give up the keys to the Chief Minister’s residence,” reasoned the Delhi Minister.Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said, “This ongoing debate about ‘your house versus my house’—whose house costs how much, which house has a swimming pool, and where there’s a golden toilet—needs to end. To address this, today we visited the official residence of the Chief Minister of Delhi and have now come to the Prime Minister’s official residence.”He continued, “On Tuesday, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh had challenged the BJP, stating that we want to showcase the Chief Minister’s residence to the entire nation through the media, and the BJP should do the same for the Prime Minister’s residence. However, now the BJP is avoiding this debate, while we have stepped forward to engage in it.”Saurabh Bharadwaj concluded by saying, “We want to tell the BJP: stop firing arrows from the shadows. Come forward and show both residences to the people of the country openly. Let the citizens see for themselves and decide.”
