In the wake of an ABVP office bearer slapping a Delhi University professor, senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Kondli MLA Kuldeep Kumar strongly condemned the growing attacks on educational institutions under the BJP regime, saying that the BJP and its allied organisations such as the RSS and ABVP are systematically trying to capture and control India’s educational spaces.
In a video message, senior AAP leader and MLA Kuldeep Kumar said, “Ever since the BJP came to power, its allied organisations — whether it is the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) or the ABVP — have been continuously attempting to take control of this country’s educational institutions. Professors are being attacked and assaulted. As we saw recently, in a Delhi University college, a Joint Secretary of DUSU slapped a professor inside his office.”
The AAP MLA added, “This slap was not on one professor — it was a slap on all the teachers of this country. It was a slap on the constitutional institutions of India. Such incidents show the extent to which people with the RSS mindset are trying to destroy the dignity of our institutions.”
Condemning the incident further, Kuldeep Kumar said, “The same RSS-minded people had earlier thrown a shoe at the Chief Justice of India. This mindset is pushing our nation towards anarchy. They are destroying the country through this lawless behaviour. I want to tell these ABVP and RSS goons — mend your ways, reform yourselves before it’s too late.”
