Amid resounding cheers and garlands, senior AAP leader and Ex-Deputy CM Manish Sisodia’s padyatra charged through Karol Bagh assembly constituency, rallying public support for Arvind Kejriwal’s integrity-driven leadership. Declaring the upcoming Delhi election a battle for honesty, Manish Sisodia took potshots at the BJP’s attempts to tarnish Arvind Kejriwal’s reputation, in an attempt to break the AAP’s governance of progress.
While Arvind Kejriwal builds schools and Mohalla Clinics, slashes household bills, Manish Sisodia promised that no force will stop the work for the people of Delhi. During this, local MLA Vishesh Ravi and other senior leaders and workers were present.
While talking to the people in Karol Bagh assembly constituency, senior AAP leader and Ex-Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said that the BJP is trying its best to tarnish the image of Arvind Kejriwal’s honesty, but it is not working. Despite all the agencies of the BJP, it is not working. The same slogan is coming out from everywhere, what is the identity of honesty, Kejriwal and the broom symbol. Arvind Kejriwal has come among us and is working on the streets. The BJP tried a lot to stop Arvind Kejriwal.
The senior AAP leader further added that for the last nine-ten years, on one side there is Arvind Kejriwal, who is doing a lot of work. He is opening schools, colleges, Mohalla clinics, making electricity and water bills zero. Making bus travel free for women. He is doing everything that he can. On the other hand, the BJP people think from morning to evening that Arvind Kejriwal is not stopping from working. How to stop Arvind Kejriwal’s work. Arvind Kejriwal is not stopping, he has given good education to children, got good treatment to people, got them jobs. Inflation has been controlled in Delhi as compared to other states.
“To stop our work, BJP people first of all filed many cases against our MLAs. Two cases were also filed against Karol Bagh MLA Vishesh Ravi. One of which was proved false and in a few days the second one will also be proved false. They filed cases against MLAs and councilors all over Delhi. But even then Arvind Kejriwal’s work did not stop,” he added.
The Ex-Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi affirmed, “To stop the pace of Arvind Kejriwal’s work, BJP people deployed all their lawyers, used all their brains and got the central government to pass an order that now in Delhi, not Arvind Kejriwal but LG will rule. They took away their ‘Services’ and said that the transfer-posting of officers will be done by LG and not by Arvind Kejriwal’s government. They even tried this but still could not stop Arvind Kejriwal’s work.”
Manish Sisodia said that even after taking away the right of transfer-posting of officers, the electricity bill was zero. After this Arvind Kejriwal went to the Supreme Court. When the Supreme Court said that the Chief Minister will run the government, the BJP brought an ordinance and overturned the court order.
“They thought that he will stop Arvind Kejriwal by bringing an ordinance. But Arvind Kejriwal still kept working. After this, he caught me and put me in jail saying that he is the one who is building the school, let’s put him in jail. But still they could not stop Kejriwal’s work. Finally, they caught Arvind Kejriwal and put him in jail. There is delay in God’s house, but there is no injustice. After 6 months, Arvind Kejriwal has come out roaring like a lion,” asserted the senior AAP leader.
Manish Sisodia stated that the BJP thought if Arvind Kejriwal is sent to jail in a fake case, then Delhiites who keep saying that Arvind Kejriwal is an honest man, will stop considering him honest. But the people of Delhi did not buy BJP’s propaganda and even today they are saying that Arvind Kejriwal is staunchly honest.
“Delhiites are saying that you can put any kind of allegations on him but he is honest. When he was freed from jail, the BJP thought that now they would trouble him. But Arvind Kejriwal said that I am resigning and going among the public and now the public will decide whether I am honest or not,” he said.
The former Deputy further said that Arvind Kejriwal has given me this message to convey to the public that BJP will not decide whether he is honest or not. First of all the court will decide this, but the court may take at least 10-15 years. Arvind Kejriwal will be found honest in the court’s decision as well. That is why he says, ‘I will sit on the CM’s chair only when the public says that I am honest.’ He said that I will not sit on the chair with these accusations. Therefore, the coming election is an election of Arvind Kejriwal’s honesty and the public will tell by voting whether he is honest or not.
“Till date, there must have never been such an election in history, when after running the government for five years, a Chief Minister goes among the public and says that if I have worked then vote for me or else don’t. Usually when leaders go to ask for votes after running the government for five years, they go looking for excuses,” added Manish Sisodia.
Manish Sisodia asserted that Arvind Kejriwal is honest and I will vote for him. When he resigned, I also said that I will not go back to my chair. If my brothers and sisters of Delhi feel that Manish Sisodia is the Education Minister they need for their children’s education and he is honest, then vote for him, otherwise don’t. “If you feel that I have worked for your children, then vote for me and make me the education minister again, otherwise I will sit at home,” added the Former Education Minister of Delhi.
