Despite BJP’s much-touted “four-engine government,” Delhi’s security collapse was laid bare once again on Saturday when two schools received fresh bomb threats, triggering chaos and fear among children and parents. With such threats recurring for over a year and not a single culprit apprehended, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has raised serious questions over the BJP government and Delhi Police’s continued failure to act.
AAP leaders, including National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Delhi Assembly Atishi, and other senior leaders said the pattern of threats has instilled constant fear among parents and children while the BJP government and Delhi Police remain mute spectators.
AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, in a post on X, stated, “Delhi’s schools are repeatedly receiving bomb threats. Panic spreads everywhere, schools are forced to shut, and fear grips children and parents. Yet, for the past one year, not a single culprit has been caught and no action has been taken. The so-called four-engine BJP government cannot even manage the safety of the national capital. Parents are living in fear every single day. When will all this end?”
Echoing the concern, senior AAP leader and Delhi Assembly LoP Atishi hit out at the BJP over Saturday’s fresh wave of bomb threats. She wrote, “Once again, on Saturday, several schools in Delhi received bomb threats. How long will this continue? This ongoing menace in the national capital is heightening public anxiety and deepening children’s fear. Parents are forced to live under constant dread, yet the four-engine BJP government does not care in the slightest.”
MCD LoP Ankush Narang also took to X, saying, “On Saturday, yet again, several schools in Delhi were threatened with being blown up. How long will this continue? These repeated threats have stolen the innocence of children and the peace of parents. Every day, parents send their children to school under a shadow of fear. This is not just a threat—it is a direct question on Delhi’s security apparatus. But the four-engine BJP government is standing by as a mute spectator. Neither has security been increased, nor have the culprits been caught. When will the BJP government wake up? Who will take responsibility for the safety of Delhi’s people and children?”
The AAP further pointed out that Delhi schools are not the only targets—previously even the High Court had received such threats. The party said, “Threats continue to pour in across Delhi, spreading fear among citizens. Yet, BJP’s Delhi Police and investigation agencies remain unfazed. Till date, no one knows who is behind these threats. The question arises—when will Home Minister Amit Shah wake up and take responsibility for Delhi’s security?”
