Reacting sharply to mounting public distress in the national capital, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has held the BJP-led Delhi administration squarely responsible for the spiralling governance crisis. From frequent power cuts to rising school fees and demolition of jhuggis, AAP has pointed out to the BJP’s betrayal of the people of Delhi and dismantling every system that once worked efficiently.
AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, responding to a citizen’s grievance on electricity disruptions, took to ‘X’ and stated: “All good work that AAP did is being ruined because of BJP’s incompetencies. Frequent power cuts are just one of many examples of their failure.”
AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj also posted a scathing comment on ‘X’, listing out the cascading failures under the BJP’s rule in Delhi:
“As soon as they came, they hiked the school fees.
How much cream did they skim from whom?
Then they demolished the homes of the poor.
The poor child dies anywhere.
If not the people, at least fear God.
The diesel of old vehicles banned.
How much more mess will you create?
In the rain, everything turned to water.
It reminds me of Phulera’s story.
The hope of ₹2500 shattered.
The committee after committee ruined it all (originally in Hindi).”
From shattered promises of direct support to women, to punitive bans and crumbling civic infrastructure, the Aam Aadmi Party has pointed out that the BJP is turning Delhi into a cautionary tale of misgovernance. AAP leaders called on the BJP to stop the chaos and start governing in the interest of the people.
