After stepping down as Delhi’s Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal is preparing to take his fight to the people to face his ultimate jury—the people. This Sunday, at Jantar Mantar, the first ‘Janta Ki Adalat’ is set to convene, where a massive crowd from across the capital is expected to gather in support.
Senior AAP leader Dilip Pandey, confident of the people’s verdict, declared, “Delhi will affirm: ‘My Kejriwal is honest’.” He pointed out that the BJP orchestrated Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest with baseless charges in an attempt to derail critical public services.
During a media interaction, senior AAP leader and Timarpur MLA Dilip Pandey said that the entire Delhi and the country witnessed how the BJP misused constitutional organizations like the ED, and the CBI to arrest AAP leaders to break the party. When the BJP could not break the AAP with the help of these institutions, then to finish the party, it made baseless allegations against our leaders. And without any proof, one by one our leaders were sent behind the bars of the jail.
The AAP leader MLA continued, “The people of Delhi rejected the BJP not once but thrice in the elections. The BJP decided to take revenge on Delhiites. They cultivated hate towards AAP leaders, and Arvind Kejriwal, and put the ED-CBI behind AAP leaders. It is for the judiciary who gave us a solution, and a tight slap on the face of the arrogant political party.”
“The BJP tried their level best, to arrest AAP leaders by any means to break the party. The BJP wanted to halt the facilities and services provided by Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP government for Delhiites, such as electricity, water, school and hospital, Mohalla Clinics, pilgrimage for the elderly, and women’s free travel in bus. But neither the government stopped, nor Arvind Kejriwal’s soldiers and ministers, and the work of the people of Delhi kept going on,” asserted the senior AAP leader.
He further added that after getting relief from the court, Arvind Kejriwal has set a precedent in the history of Indian politics by resigning from the post of Chief Minister when he could have continued, which has never happened before. Taking the politics of honesty and ideals to a new height, Arvind Kejriwal decided that he is resigning due to the fake allegations of the BJP and now he will go to the ‘public court’. Now the people of Delhi will also have to decide.
“Arvind Kejriwal has said that if the people of Delhi do not agree with the baseless allegations of the BJP, then I will sit on the Chief Minister’s chair only when the people of Delhi make me sit on the CM’s chair with a massive mandate. Such a statement is wonderful and unprecedented,” affirmed the AAP MLA.
Dilip Pandey mentioned that during the last assembly elections too, Arvind Kejriwal had said a similar unprecedented thing, ‘if I have worked, vote for me’. This time Arvind Kejriwal has taken the politics of honesty and integrity to a higher level and said that if the people of Delhi believe that Kejriwal is honest, then vote for me and make me the Chief Minister.
“Tomorrow, ‘janta ki adalat’ (public court) is being held at 12 noon at Jantar Mantar. The people of Delhi will be there. And I am sure that the people of Delhi, unisonly, will say that ‘my Kejriwal is honest’,” shared the senior AAP leader.
