The five pointed questions posed by AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat remain unanswered. Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has now echoed the country’s growing demand: When will Mohan Bhagwat respond? Since Arvind Kejriwal’s inquiry, a deafening silence has settled over the RSS and BJP, raising suspicions that the questions hit too close to the truth.
The senior AAP leader drew attention to the BJP’s own rule of retiring leaders at 75, which sidelined stalwarts like LK Advani—so why not apply it to PM Modi? The demand for the answers of the questions posed by Arvind Kejriwal is only growing louder in the country.
On Monday, during a press conference at the party headquarters, senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh stated that AAP’s National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal has asked only five questions to Mohan Bhagwat, the head of RSS, an organization which calls itself a ‘patriot’ and nationalist, and these questions are related to principles, integrity, and truth.
The senior AAP leader continued, “Arvind Kejriwal is the only person in India who has given up the post of Chief Minister not once but twice, on grounds of integrity and principles, stating that he will fight for principles, honesty, and truth.”
He further added that Arvind Kejriwal first resigned as Chief Minister after a 49-day government. Today, no one wants to leave even the job of a peon. After coming out of jail, when the question of integrity and principles arose, Arvind Kejriwal resigned from the Chief Minister’s post in two minutes.
“It is an open book for the country that, on one side, there is a true and honest leader like Arvind Kejriwal, who fights for honesty and truth by giving up the Chief Minister’s chair twice, and on the other side, there is the Prime Minister Modi, who does not want to relinquish his chair even at 75 years of age,” stated Sanjay Singh.
The AAP Rajya Sabha MP affirmed, “This is the difference between Arvind Kejriwal and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Mohan Bhagwat and the BJP must answer Arvind Kejriwal’s five questions.”
Referring to the five questions asked by Arvind Kejriwal to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Sanjay Singh said, “Arvind Kejriwal’s first question is whether the RSS, which calls itself patriotic and nationalist, agrees with the fact that today the BJP has become a kidnapping gang. The BJP has turned into a gang that defects other political parties.”
“Is it right for the BJP to coerce MLAs, MPs, and other members of other parties, and topple governments by threatening them with the ED-CBI or enticing them with crores of rupees? What is the RSS chief’s opinion on this?” He asked.
Secondly, Sanjay Singh pointed out , “The leaders whom PM Modi has called the most corrupt in the country – according to a report, the BJP made serious allegations of corruption against 23 opposition leaders, yet gave them a clean chit by including them in its party.”
The AAP leader further added that all of them suddenly became clean by being washed in PM Modi’s “washing machine.” The very same leaders whom PM Modi ,Amit Shah, and the BJP previously accused of corruption, including one leader who was accused of misappropriating Rs 70,000 crores, were later absorbed into the BJP. How does Mohan Bhagwat feel about this? Does he agree or disagree with the inclusion of these allegedly corrupt individuals into the BJP?
Referring to the third question, Sanjay Singh said that the RSS claims to uphold moral values and to be a group of “Rashtriya Swayamsevaks” who serve the nation. It was the responsibility of the RSS to oversee the BJP and ensure that it does not stray from its values, and if it does, to restrain it. Did Mohan Bhagwat ever attempt to curb the BJP’s corruption and such actions? Does he agree or disagree with these actions?
Sanjay Singh continued, “Arvind Kejriwal ensured Delhi a surplus budget, even while providing free electricity, water, healthcare, bus travel for women, and pilgrimage facilities for the elderly. When such a Chief Minister is put in jail, does Mohan Bhagwat ever question whether the BJP and PM Modi are in the wrong?”
Sanjay Singh, while raising the fourth question, said that BJP’s national president JP Nadda openly stated during the Lok Sabha elections that the BJP no longer needs the RSS. So, has the son grown up so much that he has started threatening his mother? The RSS is the parent organization of the BJP and was born from its womb.
“Today, PM Modi, JP Nadda, and Amit Shah are threatening the very same RSS. How did the RSS chief feel about JP Nadda’s statement? Were Mohan Bhagwat and the RSS workers hurt by this or not?” He added.
Referring to the fifth question, Sanjay Singh mentioned that the RSS and BJP had set a principle for their organization that upon turning 75 years old, BJP leaders must resign from their posts. After reaching 75, no one should contest Lok Sabha or Assembly elections, and no one should remain Chief Minister, Prime Minister, or Minister. BJP leaders are required to retire upon reaching the age of 75. However, Amit Shah says that PM Modi will remain Prime Minister even after turning 75 and will not retire. While it is ultimately for the people of the country to decide whether he will continue as Prime Minister, Amit Shah is asserting that PM Modi will not relinquish his post even after crossing the age of 75.
Sanjay Singh pointed out , “After turning 75, many leaders, including LK Advani, former BJP national president Murli Manohar Joshi, former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Shanta Kumar, former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, BC Khanduri, and Kalraj Mishra, were removed from their posts and were not allowed to contest elections. Was the rule that RSS and PM Modi made for senior party leaders a strategy to remove those leaders from politics? If this rule was established, then why should it not apply to you as well?”
