The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has kicked off the ‘Aapka Vidhayak, Aapke Dwar’ (Your MLA at your doorsteps) campaign to showcase the accounts of the work done in five years under Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Leadership. With Delhi Assembly elections on the horizon, the AAP has launched a massive outreach effort on Sunday, aiming to directly connect with voters across all 2800 zones within a month. Senior leader Dilip Pandey outlined the campaign’s ambitious goals, highlighting the extensive meetings already held across key constituencies. Under this campaign, the AAP held meetings in Shalimar Bagh, Bawana, Palam, Mehrauli, Sultanpuri, Brijwasan, Kondli, Vikaspuri, Madipur, Timarpur, Timarpur Zone on the first day.
Senior AAP leaders and MLAs Dilip Pandey and Kuldeep Kumar briefed about the “Aapka Vidhayak Aapke Dwar” campaign in a joint press conference at the party headquarters on Sunday. Timarpur Dilip Pandey said that given the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, the AAP has started preparing its organization. Under this campaign, the entire organization from the top to the bottom level is being re-evaluated. In this sequence, so far, party workers’ conferences have been organized in 65 out of 70 assembly constituencies of Delhi.
“The state vice president, organization secretary, district president, district secretary, and party workers were present at each meeting. About 200 to 400 workers were present at almost every party workers’ conference. Apart from this, booth-wise meetings will also be held by the in-charge and zonal President of each ward of the assembly in the coming days,” he added.
The Timarpur MLA said that by holding meetings at more than 13,000 booths in Delhi, the AAP will prepare the structure of the assembly, ward, and after the zone, up to the booth level well before the elections. “Everything will be re-planned. The AAP is starting the ‘Aapka Vidhayak, Aapke Dwar’ campaign in about 2,800 zones of Delhi from today. The polling centres or schools where votes are cast are called zones in AAP. A mandal includes 8 to 10 booths,” he shared.
He continued, “This is a very important part of our election campaign, under which the party will organize this meeting in every mandal. Where there are AAP MLAs and where they’re not. The ‘Aapka Vidhayak, Aapke Dwar’ campaign will be run in those zones where the AAP has MLAs. Whereas where we do not have MLAs, meetings will be organized by the party workers under the banner of ‘Aapki Sarkar, Aapke Dwar’. These meetings are starting from today in all the zones and within the next 25 to 30 days, these meetings will be concluded in every mandal.”
Dilip Pandey shared that from today this campaign will commence in Shalimar Bagh, Bawana, Palam, Mehrauli, Sultanpur, Bijwasan, Kondli, Vikaspuri, Madipur, and Timarpur assembly constituencies. In some assemblies, this campaign will run at one or more places. “The AAP has started this campaign because conversing directly with Delhiites was more effective in the areas where AAP contested during the last Lok Sabha elections. Therefore, to end the communication gap, this campaign has been started on a war footing, which we will complete by the end of this month,” he added.
AAP Delhi state Vice President Kuldeep Kumar said that through the ‘Aapka Vidhayak, Aapke Dwar’ campaign, we will go amongst Delhiites and listen to their problems directly. We will present the account of our work over the last 5 years in various assemblies before the public. We will tell the people of Delhi what the AAP has done for Delhiites in the last 5 years.
“Delhiites know that ever since Arvind Kejriwal’s government came, Delhi has continuously leapt in the direction of development. Whether it is 24-hour free electricity, water facilities, education, health, free bus travel for women, a pilgrimage for the elderly, or the development of roads and sewer systems, our government is continuously working and going amongst the people of Delhi. The ‘Aapka Vidhayak, Aapke Dwar’ campaign is an important link in this drive,” concluded the AAP Delhi State Vice President.
