As the Delhi Assembly elections draw closer, the Aam Aadmi Party’s campaign is getting sharper. Volunteers, considered the backbone of Aam Aadmi Party, will again play a crucial role in this election. Taking this into mind, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal is making direct contact with each volunteer.
The AAP Convenor is communicating with volunteers through various mediums. He is motivating them to spread the government’s work and especially the free revdis provided by Delhi government to every home. On Tuesday, he contacted all women wing volunteers through video conferencing. He not only gave them the mantra to take free revdis to every home but also understood the ground reality from them. During the conversation, volunteers told Arvind Kejriwal that people want to see him become Chief Minister again.
Women’s Wing Chairperson Sarika Chaudhary and over 500 women volunteers joined this video call with Arvind Kejriwal. They informed Arvind Kejriwal that they are going door-to-door and conducting small meetings, discussing six freebies with people.
During this, many women volunteers also spoke with Arvind Kejriwal. Women said that he is doing excellent work. “We are all fully committed to supporting him. We are talking to each individual and discussing the public welfare works being done by the Aam Aadmi Party government. We are also telling people that if the AAP government goes, they will lose free services like electricity, water, education, healthcare, free bus travel for women, and pilgrimages for elderly, among other facilities,” the volunteers said.
They further said, “People are also being told how Arvind Kejriwal and his team with great difficulty improved Delhi’s deteriorating condition. While providing Delhi with numerous free facilities, they have also maintained Delhi’s budget in profit. If another government comes, Delhi will return to its state from 10 years ago. Your schools and hospital beds will be destroyed.”
The volunteers said that Delhiites are satisfied with the development works being done by AAP. “People are extremely happy with school, hospital, electricity, and water facilities. Most people want AAP to form a government like last time and Arvind Kejriwal as Delhi’s Chief Minister again. People have complete faith in Arvind Kejriwal. People are saying that as long as he is there, none of their work will stop.”
During this, Arvind Kejriwal, while thanking all workers, said that they are all working very hard on the ground. “The result of your hard work will also be pleasant. You should continue working with the same diligence. You all should try to conduct more meetings. Create multiple teams and hold meetings with people in your area. In these meetings, explain the six freebies to people in detail. Explain the benefits of six freebies and the losses if they are discontinued, so that people can make the right decision.”
Arvind Kejriwal also took stock of the ground situation from volunteers and sought volunteers’ opinions. Arvind Kejriwal said that volunteers are AAP’s backbone, it is because of their hard work that the party is at this stage today.
