The Aam Aadmi Party is leaving no stone unturned in its bid to secure a historic victory in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. With a focus on connecting directly with the people, the party has launched an ambitious campaign titled “Revdi Par Charcha” to highlight the transformative impact of its free welfare schemes. Each day, 2,000 public meetings are being held across Delhi, where citizens are openly sharing their satisfaction with free revdis like education, healthcare, electricity, water, senior citizens’ pilgrimage trips, and bus travel for women.
The resounding feedback from these discussions reflects a strong public endorsement of the AAP government’s welfare model, with many citizens expressing their commitment to re-electing Arvind Kejriwal as Chief Minister to ensure the continuation of these schemes. The insights gathered from these interactions are being relayed to AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal to guide the development of future policies, reinforcing the party’s promise to prioritise the needs of the people.
The Aam Aadmi Party has been governing Delhi for the past ten years, focusing on meeting the needs of ordinary, economically weaker individuals. The party’s primary goal has been to improve the living standards of the common person, enabling them to live with dignity while reducing their financial burden.
As a first step, the AAP government introduced a welfare scheme of providing 200 units of free electricity and 20,000 litres of free water every month. This initiative offered significant relief to downtrodden residents, helping them save a substantial amount of money. The public widely appreciated this decision, and 99% of people expressed their desire for these benefits to continue.
Encouraged by this overwhelming support, the AAP government, led by Arvind Kejriwal, adopted a transparent and efficient approach to governance, saving every rupee possible. These savings were then invested in transforming government schools and hospitals. As a result, these institutions now offer free, high-quality education and healthcare services to all.
To further empower women, the government introduced free bus travel for them. Today, lakhs of women use this service daily, making it easier for them to pursue jobs and for girls to attend school and college. This initiative has also enabled women to save more money each month, which they now use to support their families.
The AAP government has also focused on supporting the elderly by providing a free pilgrimage scheme. The government arranges travel to various pilgrimage sites in air-conditioned trains, covering all expenses and ensuring their safe return home.
The Aam Aadmi Party is engaging with residents across Delhi to discuss the six free ‘revdis’ provided by its government and gather feedback. People are sharing positive views about free electricity, water, healthcare, education, bus travel for women, and other welfare services. Many say that Arvind Kejriwal has significantly improved their lives. Ten years ago, they could never have imagined receiving free services like electricity, water, education, healthcare, bus travel for women, and even pilgrimage for the elderly. But Arvind Kejriwal has made this a reality, uplifting the downtrodden and ensuring they live with dignity.
Delhiites are overwhelmingly happy with these AAP-led government initiatives. Many Delhi residents feel that the Aam Aadmi Party is like family to them, and Arvind Kejriwal is like an elder son who understands their needs and fulfils them without being asked. They believe he has cared for them just as a son would for his family. As a result, people are deeply satisfied with the government’s work. In fact, 99% of residents want these services to continue.
During discussions about the free revdis provided by the AAP government, AAP workers are asking people how these benefits have improved their household finances. People are sharing their views, saying that earlier, when these benefits were unavailable, poor families had to save every single rupee. In a monthly salary of Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000, more than half of their income would go toward basic necessities. But now, things have changed. Thanks to these revdis, families are able to save Rs 6,000 to Rs 8,000 every month.
In effect, if a household’s income is Rs 15,000 today, these free revdis have increased their effective income to Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000. Families no longer have to worry about expenses like school fees for their children, medical bills, or electricity and water charges. Instead, they can spend their earnings on food, clothing, and other essential needs. These free revdis have truly made life much easier for them.
The Aam Aadmi Party is highly encouraged by the overwhelming positive feedback it has been receiving from the public. Everywhere, people are praising the work of the AAP government and sharing their support. Encouraged by this response, the party is making efforts to connect with as many people as possible.
To achieve this, it is organising nearly 1,000 small and large gatherings across Delhi every day, engaging in detailed discussions about the six free revdis provided by the government. At these meetings, people have expressed their approval, saying they appreciate these revdis. Many have pledged to re-elect Arvind Kejriwal as Delhi’s Chief Minister with a massive majority to ensure these benefits continue.
The AAP government has also announced its seventh revdi: a monthly allowance of Rs 1,000 for every woman aged 18 and above. This revdi aims to further empower women by helping them meet their daily needs with this financial support. It also seeks to ensure that girls face no barriers in pursuing their education. The application process for this benefit will be launched soon.
