The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government’s ‘Ayushman Arogya Mandirs’ have been exposed, as the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has revealed that the BJP merely gave a fresh coat of paint to the Mohalla Clinics originally built by the AAP government. AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj on Saturday exposed a massive fraud being committed in the name of healthcare infrastructure.
Visiting Chirag Delhi with a report card on the BJP’s failures in its first 100 days, Saurabh Bharadwaj revealed that the dispensary inaugurated by him and former Health Minister Satyendar Jain in 2017 has now been rebranded as an “Ayushman Arogya Mandir” — with the original AAP government plaque still intact. “The BJP has done nothing except apply a fresh coat of paint on AAP’s Mohalla Clinics and claim them as their own achievement,” he declared, adding that over 30 such clinics across Delhi are being falsely advertised as new BJP initiatives.
Senior AAP leader and Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj visited Chirag Delhi to distribute a “100 Days, 100 Lies” report card highlighting the failures of the BJP government in Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, Saurabh Bharadwaj exposed how the BJP’s much-touted “20 big achievements” in its 100-day report were riddled with falsehoods and repackaging of AAP’s governance work.
In a media interaction, AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj stated, “BJP has completed 100 days in Delhi. In this period, they have boasted about 20 major achievements. Their top claim is that they have built 31 ‘Ayushman Arogya Mandirs’ in Delhi. In Chirag Delhi, however, the so-called Ayushman Arogya Mandir is actually a dispensary that was constructed by the Aam Aadmi Party government before the BJP came to power. And yet the BJP is now claiming that it was built in the last 100 days.”
He added, “This is the same ‘Ayushman Arogya Mandir’ that the BJP and the Lieutenant Governor used to constantly speak about as a major flagship scheme of the Central Government, one which the AAP Government was allegedly obstructing. They told the public that if BJP comes to power in Delhi, the Centre would pour in massive funds. Now they claim that 31 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs have been built. But the truth is, these are not new clinics.”
Saurabh Bharadwaj highlighted that these are the same old dispensaries built by the Aam Aadmi Party government. In fact, the dispensary in Chirag Delhi was inaugurated on 3rd December 2017 by then Health Minister Satyendar Jain and myself. The board outside clearly mentions the names of both Satyendar Jain and myself, along with the Delhi Government and the AAP Government.
The AAP Delhi State President said the people of Delhi need to know this truth because many may be misled by the media propaganda. “People reading newspapers might believe that the BJP has opened 31 brand new health facilities with enhanced services. But once they realise that these are just old dispensaries of the Delhi Government, rebranded with a coat of yellow paint and a few pictures on the walls in the last ten days, they will see through this charade.
“When people go inside, they’ll find the same doctors, same pharmacists, and the same facilities as before. Even the air conditioners were installed by the AAP government. This Chirag Delhi dispensary was, in fact, the first one where our government had installed an AC,” he added.
Saurabh Bharadwaj pointed out that the BJP is attempting to fool the people of Delhi. “For the last five years, BJP made grandiose claims that if they came to power, the Central Government would give massive funds. But in reality, they’ve just taken old Mohalla Clinics, painted them, renamed them as ‘Ayushman Arogya Mandirs’, and now they are selling that as their achievement.”
“The BJP has no intention of doing any real work; they are merely repainting and repackaging the initiatives done by the Aam Aadmi Party. Earlier, people used to receive proper medicines in these clinics. Now, under BJP’s so-called Ayushman Arogya Mandir model, even basic medicines are not available,” concluded Saurabh Bharadwaj.
