Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj has written to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta raising serious concerns over the BJP government’s performance in its first 100 days in Delhi. In his letter, the AAP Delhi State President highlights the growing distress of the people due to widespread service failures and the collapse of welfare schemes that were the backbone of Delhi’s model of governance.
In the letter, AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj wrote, “The BJP government has completed 100 days in Delhi, but in these 100 days, the people of Delhi have had to endure many hardships. Delhi is experiencing long and frequent power cuts. Electricity prices have gone up significantly. Private schools have started arbitrarily increasing fees. Water supply has reduced. For the first time, the AQI in Delhi has crossed 500 during the summer. The Farishtey Scheme has been shut down. Mohalla Clinics are being closed, and their staff is being dismissed.
The AAP Delhi President further stated, “Women have still not received the ₹2,500 promised to them. No one received a free gas cylinder during Holi. Free operations and diagnostic tests at private hospitals under the Delhi Arogya Kosh (DAK) Scheme have been stopped. Pensions for 25,000 widows have been cut. Jhuggi dwellers across the city are being evicted from their homes.”
He further stated that based on complaints from the people of Delhi regarding all these issues, a report card has been prepared on the BJP government’s performance. “As a responsible opposition, I and my Honourable MLAs from my party would like to present to you this 100-day Report Card of your government. I request you to kindly give us a time at your office to hand over this report card,” Saurabh Bharadwaj wrote.
